General Commentary and Game Overview
Psycho Waluigi is really a gem among most pro-made fangames I have come to play recently, as I believe it to be right up there with Midas Machine, give or take. What makes this game so overwhelmingly fun is the professional quality of the overall outcome, especially the mechanics, which is always the most important thing to keep in mind with any video game. The wonderful sense of humor througout the game is also very fitting to the universe in which this game had been set it. Allow me to indulge you on the handiworks of a game so great it has inspired me to write my very first review ever.

Pros + Kept true to the Mario atmosphere; very professional.
+ Easy-to-use-hard-to-master controls, as well as great physics.
+ Wonderful lengthy level designs
+ A good, diverse amount of abilities to use.
+ Engaging and creative boss battles
+ A very fitting sense of humor
+ Original story and characters

Cons - The vehicle levels were infuriating
- Some boss battles were rediculously tough
- Explosions were bigger than they appeared.

Impressions
Gameplay
9 / 10
Well, the story goes of how sir Waluigi picked a fight with a little bird and ended up unconcious afterward... pretty strange when you word like that... anyway, Waluigi then finds himself in the wondrous land of Unconcia where he will meet his new ally Psycho Iris. From there their grand adventure of untold proprtions begin.
In my opinion, the Gameplay is the most important aspect of any game, and this game had it with real nice quality. The collisions were well done, the enemies were interesting and had interesting abilities to manipulate, and the controls were very easy to use and rather enjoyable as well. The playstyle is very addicting due to the immense originality this game possesses.
What I didn't like were the vehicle levels... the concept was superb and the controls were well done, but oh my goodness they were incredibly difficult and hard to enjoy, especially the boss battle one. I usually wanted to by my toes off due to the frustration these levels gave me, and losing time was the worst part of it all, meaning if time hit 0 while trying to get past the levels, I'd have to start ALL THE WAY FROM THE BEGINNING! This is also true for some of the boss battle, the 2nd one in particular.
I'd hate to say it, but the second boss battle is full of pure bullcrap. This is namely due to the fact that the movement timings are very unprodctable and you need a really nice jump to clear the ramming part, while also trying to avoid the explosions from the shield that covers her when you pick it off. This adds to the fact that you have to save the last part of the shield to hit the boss when the glass undercoat shatters, which I find very gimmicky and just nnoying.
And speaking of expolosions, I think the range on all forms of explosions is very misguiding. The hitbox seems to be much wider than the visuals would have it, and even if they were self-induced, you'd lose health by touching it. This part of the game was incredibly aggravating.
Despite these flaws, the rest of what this game has to offer more than makes up for it. Plus, that feeling of satisfaction in the end is very... er... satisfying because of the difficulties.

Graphics
8 / 10
I can't tell how much was custom and how much wasn't, but there was definately a bit of both to make up for the visuals in this game. There wasn't too much clashing, but what really bothered me were the big blocks with the cracks in them... they looked pretty bad. Luckily, you can crush them and remove their horribly-drawn presence from view. Everything else was very nice and aesthetic.

Sound
8 / 10
All in all, the sounds were very clear and the music was very fitting. What I didn't like was the fact of how obvious it was that there was Zelda music playing in some stages. Obviously this isn't that huge of a deal, but I think a Mario game should have MARIO music. There might have been more music from more games, but I didn't realize it, so I could easily ignore that and enjoy it as is. Maybe I'm just picky...?

Replay
5 / 10
Sadly, once you play the game the first time, you don't really feel all that motivated to play again. I think if there were more things to collect other than just the gold crown, it'd make going back to the levels to do some coin-collecting worth a hoot. However, if you feel that the bosses really gave you a good (and hard) time, the Boss Rush Mode will probably tickle your fancy.

Final Words
9 / 10
You WILL download this game and you WILL play it. If you don't, Waluigi will sneak into your room and put his eggplants where they don't belong.

There's nothing wrong with putting music from other games in a Mario game. Maybe you don't like it, but that's personal preferance. It's not a good reason to lower the score for music.

Yeah, you obviously have never tried any of the gold crown unlocked World 0 stages if you think this game has no replay value. Not to mention the extra collectibles in the form of the Commemorative coins sold at Monkeybags' shop.

And then, of course, this review has scores of 9, 8, 8, and 5, yet you still give it a nine for the final total. Really? Do you have any idea how averages work? I think you need to re-think your review writing.

The final score doesn't NEED to be an average, or else the system would calculate the final score automatically. ;)

One bit with the second boss: you don't NEED to throw the part you ripped off the boss back at it - you can just jump on the capsule once it's exposed. That could make things a LITTLE easier, heh.

Anyhow, thanks for the review!

This IS my first review, after all, so of course it's not a totally agreeable one. I still wanted to give this game a high score because I really did fall in love with it, but I couldn't give it a 10 because, like all fangames, it's not super-duper perfect. I'm just me like that.

Also, about the second boss, the first thing I tried was jumping on the capsule, but it ended up hurting me when I did, so I thought the only way was to blow it up.

"...but I couldn't give it a 10 because, like all fangames, it's not super-duper perfect."

If you really think that literally no fangame deserves a 10, why do you think the review system has such a rating? If it was a 100-point system, I'd understand that you'd withhold the full 100 points for a game that absolutely goes beyond perfection but a 10-point rating system is different (10 basically represents 91-100).

Also about the sound part, yes, you are really way too picky and in a really bad way. I mean, if you really think the music was unfitting, it's okay to not like but if you dislike it simply because it's "not Mario", you're doing something wrong. You should also keep in mind that most, if not all, Mario fangames contain music from things other than Mario.

I have to agree on the explosion range being too big.
