Author Summary Score
TrolliPop A good level editor that can be better. 6 / 10
Bandit You thought it would be a higher score? NO! It is overshadowed by Game Master, Mario Builder, and SMBX! Those 3 games are more accurate to the gameplay and allow for you to add custom blocks if you want to! Sometimes the sounds sound like my GBC to where you can hear the songs but with a screeching noise. Overall its a fine game. 5 / 10
db If you want to make a full game, or customize the graphics, audio, or code, then you should be using Hello Engine Instead. Mario Editor is all for levels! 4 / 10
Kmuto I recommend this to creative and advanced players of the Mario franchise. If you have played Super Mario Maker, you will definitely like this. As it adds in original content. 9 / 10
SonicZetrex1 I'm not surprised when someone saw this and say "Hey, it's another engine, do not to play it. It's just a dumb game with same physics and other hippie junk". But I will say this is a little different than the same old stuff from the past. Even though, you kinda improved a little bit. 6 / 10
Thegamerguy1986  A buggy,Confusing mess of a game. Play Super Mario Maker instead. Don't Download it....please 2 / 10
RaymanFan1995 Mario Editor (seriously, how long did it take to come up with that name?) is, in a way, a proof-of-concept for a fan-made version of Super Mario Maker for PC. Not perfect, by any means, but for the time being, this is probably the closest we're going to get to a proper game with that concept. Unfortunately, the use of overused vanilla SMB3 graphics, Hello Engine physics, and a not-entirely-friendly toolbar makes this game vastly inferior to the real Super Mario Maker, and can probably be classified as "just another Hello game". 4 / 10
mcdonalds Pretty cool tool. Probably the best thing Hello has created in his decade of Mario games. 9 / 10
Old Yuanxian A decent user-friendly level editor. Try it now! 10 / 10
chadio This editor is a great addition to the tools that fans now have to make their own content in the Mario cosmos. it is well worth the time to download and check out. 9 / 10
TristanLuigi While there are certainly flaws in this editor that detract from it, like the sound, lack of auto-placement, and the warp system, overall it's flexible and fairly easy to use, not to mention pretty. I managed to make pneumatic tubes in a Mario game, so it can't be too bad. Keep an open mind and leave any Hello grudges at the door and you should have some fun. 8 / 10
Sr.Wario Mario Editor isn't that bad. It's got good qualities and it's got bed qualities, and if you're curious or bored it can be a fun play.

If you have the Super Mario Bros. X editor though, or really even a copy of Super Mario Maker, you'll probably be done with the game and never revisit it.

A mild recommendation.
6 / 10
Mors I love making levels using the Mario Builder. No programming needed! It can just be used like an editor to make Mario games effortlessly! Wheee! 4 / 10
DamariomanII I'm not the biggest hello fan, I agree that the engine is overused, and that it isn't as free as former level editors or SMBX, but all in all, the performance is solid, the engine, music, and graphics are smooth, and the brand of engine shouldn't be too big of a detraction from what is an great level editor. 8 / 10
Average Score 6.4 / 10

It might not be more advanced than SMBX, but this editor is great and has lots of stuff for you to put in your levels.

Hopefully this won't be another game Nintendo shuts down since it looks like it's based off of Super Mario Maker...

EDIT: Also, are we able to insert our own custom tilesets into the game?

Most games made with GMStudio requires DirectX9 or higher, you may want to look what version you have.

Maybe there's a review with that score waiting to be verified by the Staff

That must be a site bug, if the score itself gets past the queue but not the review as a whole. I guess it doesn't matter much, it's just something I thought I'd point out.

Average scores are always incorrect,
(4 + 8) / 2 = 6 not 7 ._.

Is there an option to turn off the filters and stuff? It makes the game run very slow for me, and a possible resolution option would be very nice too.

When Hello is the subject, originality is the last thing you'd expect.

Actually, come to think of it, no, because you shouldn't expect it at all. Hello is the posterboy, the EPITOME of the word "unoriginal".
