General Commentary and Game Overview
I remember being a young little kid on MFGG who was on the site just to play the games it offered. Mainly, they used to consist of Games Factory creations. And admittedly, there were quite the greats and quite the clunkers mixed together in one list. The greats played as close as genuine 2D Mario titles could, as well as offer some new twists. The crap were rather sloppily made games, with the Mario engine being rather unnatural, as Mario would cling to blocks, have choppy movement at times, etc. Games like these would also populate the Mario section of the website, caiman.us.

So why did I bring up that neat flashback? Because Super Mario Bros. Super Quest reminded me of the sloppy ones of the lot. In fact, to make a Game Maker game play like a broken Games Factory-made title may as well be a major accomplishment.

Pros -The fact that I relived a memory? Sorta?

Cons Where do I begin?
-The movement
-The still/static enemies
-Mario voice clips for EVERY SINGLE THING MARIO DOES
-No sound effects. JUST the Mario voice clips.
-Overused MIDIs aplenty
-Everything looks ugly

Impressions
Gameplay
1 / 10
I can't even move without there being gameplay problems. There's a millisecond-long pause everytime a voice clip is played (And there will DEFINITELY be LOTS of opportunities for voice clips to play). Not to mention, the movement is even worse than the Games Factory titles I was even reminded of. That says a lot.

Graphics
1 / 10
All I can say is "yuck". Everything is poorly scaled to a small size, and the graphics used really do not look good together.

Sound
1 / 10
"O-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-okie dokie!" is what I hear when collecting coins. That should say enough for the Mario voice clips.

And let's not forget that the game uses extremely overused MIDI music.

Another one for the Recycle Bin to chew on.

Final Words

I'm sorry, but the fact that this managed to be accepted onto the site is questionable in itself.
