You VS Boo

Hey, this is my game for the Minigame Compitition 18 and it's a NSMB styled remake of "You vs Boo" of Super Mario Bros Deluxe. What do you need to do? Simple finish the level before boo does. Simple? It depends, there are 4 difficulty levels. In each level boo is faster and there are blocks that prevent you from passing the level. BUT you can also choose your starting status at the beginning of the level. You can be small, normal or MEGA MARIO!! You score points by finishing fast, at a high difficulty, and you get extra points for breaking blocks, taking mushrooms, etc. Controls: Left and right: Move Up: Jump Menu's: Click with the mouse (DS Feature). You can also do a walljump and a groundpound, and a triple jump but if you want the explanation, you click "Help" in the start menu ;-) Have fun. (PS this is only a demo with 4 levels, I had almost no time to work on this game, but I like the idea and I really want to add some more levels once.)

Kiddiecat	This game is rated too high. It has a lot of functionality problems/glitches. Maybe it was the best when it came out, but it's only ok now. Part of the reason I'm rating it low is because of all the glitches. If they'd been cleared up back when this was such a popular game, it wouldn't be an issue today and I would have really enjoyed this game. It's still worth trying, and ...maaaaybe keeping, but there are a lot of functionality problems, and today there's a lot of better games at MFGG that are much more deserving of a 10 now.	2 / 10

gorsal	I'll give a 9, because this game is amazing, but has some flaws here and there. But, I reccomend you to play this, as this game is so much fun!	9 / 10

Yoshu	You VS. Boo is an instant classic. Quite fun, and with several different levels, difficulties, and forms of Mario to play as, You VS. Boo provides challenge, fun, and a new way to race against the clock.	10 / 10
soup_is_money	Overall, this is a terrific effort, whioch really worked out well. Even though this game is a bit lacking, I know a cool, better version will come out, great game!	9 / 10
Blab	Wow. This game has one of the greatest engines I've seen, nice visuals, great remixed Mario tunes, an incredible amount of replay value, and it's just fun. This is probably the best demo for any game on MFGG. I highly suggest that you download this!	10 / 10
Hatman	Despite this game's glitches, it's still an amazing and enjoyable recreation of the beloved You vs. Boo feature of SMB DX mixed with the Mario vs. Luigi feature of NSMB! A match made in heaven!	8 / 10

This game is pretty damn cool. The biggest problem, though is that Mario has WAY too much deceleration time.

Also I don't think smb deluze had ice platforms. I have it for GBC. It's still a demo dude so who knows maybe there will be ice platforms. ^_^ Once again, good job!

This is a great game, but like Hiago and PK said, it's like Luigi's got shoes coated in oil. His deacceleration is far too low.

A good minigame, there are not much bugs, and its fun to play. However like most poeple said 'its like mario is stepping on ice.' Also when you reach the finish Mario does a celebration move, but this happens a bit weard. However its a good game and it might win the minigame contest.

Yeah, I noticed the ice thing, but friction stands already on 2! But I will increase it, and the finishing move, I just have used the sprites of gorsal, so... Thanks for the good comment.

Uh, Flip? did you use my end dance sprites IN ORDER? It would look like small mario's dance! [EDIT] You used the back pose twice on the win dance for Mega and Super! ah, if you play as mega mario, or Super mario, stand on the block of the flagpole and finish, some weird things will happen...

I Triple-Jumped above the flagpole and it brought me to the place that is after the Pole (Just A castle ground and A black background) and when I'd walked back and jumped at the pole it became to be slowly but it was fixed in A small time.And on the map thing below me,it just said I am already at the flagpole.Not A glitch or something BTW. http://img131.imageshack.us/img131/4831/nieuwbitmapafbeeldingdp6.gif I was about to do the triple jump.

Bricks killed is better Anyone got past the flagpole on the mushroom level yet? I did. Are you gonna add castle level and MULTIPLAYER? hints torward multiplayer
