SMAS SMB1 Airship Tileset By: SuperSledgeBro
Airship tileset in SMAS SMB1 style, based on the airship theme from Super Mario Maker! This sheet aims to accurately depict how the airships would have looked like if they were actually there in SMB1 and ported to All-Stars. Since most graphics in SMB1 were redrawn from scratch for SMAS, I thought it would make sense to give the same treatment to the tiles from Mario Maker. The sheet goes beyond and also includes a lot of original tiles, alternate designs and custom palettes!
Type Info

As said above, I love this! Might port it into SMBX.

BTW some of the BG objects remind me of Sonic. Was that intentional?

It looks like it belongs in the original. I did sniff a little sonic in there too, but that could be because of the mechanical nature of the sheet.

I was working on a 16-bit version of the tileset for something I'm working on, but you went above and beyond with this and really improved on the tileset to make it look like something that would actually be in the game. Great job!

If you're referring to the propellers, then yes, kinda. I thought of Flying Battery Zone.

I've noticed you've been updating these old sheets a lot. I must say they're so much more organized. My only complaint is that in the BGO Section, the sprites for the Smaller Propellers should probably organized to the Large Propeller. As animating them as they are leaves them rather jittery. But even then I just fix that by grabbing them in an image editing program and flipping them so that they animate smoother in "Tiled", the program I used.

Nice work on the sprites over-all. I'm digging the new palettes and organization you adopted for these.

Sorry if it wasn't clear... The small propellers are supposed to be mirrored horizontally after 3 frames have played and loop.

Unfortunately the tiling program I use doesn't support animation maneuvers like that. Which means I'll have to do it in engine instead. Thank you, nonetheless.
