Super Mario Generations (Feedback Demo 2.5)

So since the game hasn't been worked on for like, many months now, I've decided to just put up the latest feedback demo from the forums onto here. At least it's better than leaving a really old version and letting it catch dust.


Some notes about it:

- Both Marios now have new sprites (thanks to Mors) and animations.

- The game's art has had a considerable amount of improvement (thanks to Lean for specifically suggesting fixing a lot of the colors).

- The intermission from Mario Maker (1/2) has been added.

- Switching Marios now requires only pressing Shift in Peach's Castle.

- Classic Mario now can do the power jump from SMB2.

- The Donut Plains level has been completely redone (thanks Langton!)

- The Donkey Kong level is still locked due to the Modern portion of it going absolutely nowhere.

- Gamepad support (may be a bit weird as I didn't use a Xbox controller to test it.)

- Many bugs from the previous demo(s) have been removed.


There might be more that I've missed, but that's all I could remember at the top of my head.


Controls (Which you are able to change):

Arrow Keys (NOTE: You can't change these.) = Up, Down, Left, and Right.

A = Run.

S = Run.

X = Jump

Z = Spin Jump/Dive/Long Jump

Enter (NOTE: You can't change this.) = Pause

Shift (NOTE: You can't change this.) = Changing Marios (Only in the Hub World.)


Credits:

MFGG and The Spriters/Sounds Resource for some of the sprites (that either weren't by me or just placeholders) and sounds.

Nintendo for some of the placeholder tracks. (some may still be there)

Victorino for helping me add certain things to the game.

GamerinGeorgia for making the music.

LangtonLion64 for making some of the levels and certain sprites, along with providing Mario Odyssey references for animations.

and Gatete for his knowledge with Mario coding, which was really helpful when making certain objects and enemies.

There is a glitch/softlock where if you get a fire flower and fall in a pit, modern Mario spawns back in the castle but if you ground pound. You're stuck in the position but you can press shift and everything turns back to normal if it's classic Mario but if change back to Modern Mario, the glitch/softlock will continue. Now here's where the softlock begins! If you have the glitch working, go to any stage and ground pound, and you softlock yourself so you need to quit the game and play it again! Hurray! Also, this glitch/softlock doesn't work with classic Mario.

There is a glitch where if you enter a painting then press shift right after you can be modern Mario in classic Mario’s stage, or vice versa (depends which Mario you are first). Also if you press the dive button when you are going through a pipe you can fly out and possibly get softlocked. Also if you dive while on the flagpole you can fly off it and you can get softlocked that way too. Also (I don’t know if this is a glitch or intentional) you can dive while holding things. This looks like it will be a great game, but right now it is very broken.

There's a glitch. When you grab the P-Wing in the one star underground world, you are stuck. This may only apply to when you have the fireflower. Basically everything stops. Even the timer. I cant access the menu to quit the level either. It's a game breaking glitch.
