Pros | + It's about Mario moonwalking |
Cons | - It's not very good - You easily get stuck on things on the WORLD MAP. COME ON. |
Gameplay 3 / 10 |
It's your average Generic Game Maker Platformer. It basically functions for the most part, but there are plenty of jumps that are annoyingly hard to make due to how unprecise the movement is. Speaking of unprecise movement, I think this might be the only game I've ever played where I got stuck on things on the bloody MAP. The level design starts off pretty mediocre and ultimately ends up as a bunch of objects strewn around in a desperate attempt to make something that might present a challenge. I guess the castle level's alright. The story, or what little we see of it in this demo, is the only noteworthy part of the game. It's funny how much more interesting the simple act of flipping Mario's sprites around can make a game. |
Graphics 6 / 10 |
They're mostly your average SMW stuff. Mario's sprites are, as I said above, funny, which is a bonus, but there are a lot of bizarre graphical choices (like using rocks and ? Orbs as platforms/walls) which are a minus. |
Sound 5 / 10 |
Oh boy, generic Mario midis! At least there's some SMRPG in there too. |
