Server Migration

We have moved the site to a new server, as some of you discovered in a rather rude course of events. Some people may still be stuck on the old server, but within the next day (or two, max) everyone should be accessing the new server. There was at least one problem with some files not being accessible. I have fixed that particular problem, but please post any other problems that have appeared since the move last night. Please include SPECIFIC EXAMPLES of anything that is not working. Thanks. [UPDATE 1/8/08] Apparently attachments were working in Mozilla-based browsers, but failing for IE browsers. I have tested and confirmed that files now work for IE-7. I need someone to tell me if they work for IE-6 as well. |

Ok, i discovered that some files warent downloadeble, but i tought it was depending on my WinRar archriver, but now i now it's not.

I noticed yesterday that huge numbers of sprite sheets were unavailable to me. Almost every one I saw was just an empty page. There were also some problems with the forum not allowing me to enter any threads, but thats probably unrealated.

Similar problems to those commented above were happening to me, and I couldn't download any of the games on the site. As of yet, I am still on the old server.

Well, I sent a message and told the system to put it in sent messages. The message isn't in sent messages. It even told me "your message has been successfully dispatched" I doubt it actually sent.

Hold on how do we exacly get onto the new server? Or do we just go into the new server autimaticly when we enter the site?

Please provide SPECIFIC EXAMPLES. As in, link to the entries on the site that you are having problems downloading.

Here is a list of all the games that don't work (as far as I know - I gave up halfway down page 2 since hardly any worked by then and I didn't try the ones more than 4 MB): Mario Racing 2, The mario land, Not Mari0 Pr0n, Nintendo Zapper Reloaded, Nintendo Kart Demo, Super Mario Galaxyish Game, Luigi's Island Adventure, Battle for the Mushroom Kingdom Demo, XBOX 360 Crusher, Mario vs Team17, Super Mario Bros. Eat Your Vegatables, Super Mario Battle, Bowserland, Flyguy Flight, Blooper Nest, Nintendo Wars, OLD Super Mario Bros. In fact, Lakitu's Snow Trouble and Mario's Dream Galaxy were the only ones that did work! Sprites seem OK though. |

The server transfer was quite odd. It appears that I am on the new server here, but the forum I currently see is on the old server. Quite odd. I also was on the new server once, but it took me back to the old one for some reason. Oh well, I guess RII will get this sorted out soon. |

i found a problem when i was submiting a sprite sheet something was wrong so i click the retun to last page button and the coding for the site poped up.

In fact, whenever I do download a game, the file size is "Not known", even though it says the file size on MFGG. I think whether or not a game works is down to luck - it has to download exactly the right number of KB or MB otherwise it says the file is corrupted.

On one of the servers, this update dosen't appear. Can someone tell me if this update appears on the new server or the old one...I can download everything on both of my computers, but one has this update and one doen't have this update. One is the old, one is new. But which one s it?!?!

I've been downloading sprites and, all of them are named "untitled" and say the are bitmap images, when there really not. Edit : a few of are named "index" and say there png format. |

So that's why I could see everything...I have Mozilla Firefox! Go Mozilla! Woo! New way to tell if you are on the new server. See if this is in the sprites section. I haven't been able to download anything either, I do have a windows 2000 professional, yes I have internet explorer 6, but still having problems
