	Staffing time! Following Press Start's departure, Techokami was hired as part of MFGG's QC team. But we're still somewhat under-staffed, so here's your chance to prove your worth and make MFGG a better place and all that jazz. We're using the "testing" method this time around. If you're unsure how this works, the zip linked below has a selection of stuff submitted to MFGG. You need to decide whether to accept or decline, and comment on WHY you would accept/decline. These are all real submissions and as a QC mod you would be dealing with these sorts of things all the time. DOWNLOAD TEST There's more instructions in the zip archive itself. Once you're done send your answers to our funky application gmail account. mfggapplication@gmail.com Where we'll sort through all the applicants. Please don't bother applying if you plan on leaving within the next year or so! We need people who are prepared to work for a reasonably long time. That doesn't mean you have to slave over the queue, but it also doesn't mean you can sit around and do nothing for weeks on end. But good luck to everyone! Just make sure you have your applicants in by August 11th 2008.

I'm not sure but my friends have said that before, and you use a Gmail account. If I sent in the application with Hotmail would it get through? Also do we have to send in the whole folder, or just the .txt file?

Anyways, I'm trying this out, even if it's impossible to picture myself ever getting into an important position on this site, given various... things. I probably won't make it anyway, given that some of these submissions in the test (which I've looked at already) are very going to be really hard to judge. ._.

It looks like you downloaded it while I was reuploading to fix some things (like naming the test files to coincide with the application form), so just redownload it. If so then I'll need to re-submit. EDIT: Yep... they were. Now they're numbered. Thankfully, the order of them hasn't changed, so I won't have to resubmit after all. Whew.

eh... sounds reasonable. NCFC... so what's so big about this? do fan games get shown like they're official or something? I heard that the last NCFC was gonna have a Charles Martinet Q&A... but I didn't have the internet for a month (I was busy moving), can anyone tell if they did or not? Black Squirrel says "here's your chance to prove your worth" so I guess Black S is saying if your not staff your worthless! NO MY LIFE HAS NO MEANING!!

As one of the organizers, I can inform you. It's not fangames shown like they're official, but it's more a temporary community-site foundation that connects all fangame creators, players and others who are interested in fangames or do various things for fangames. It's a huge collective, and it was very successful last year. We were supposed to have Charles Martinet for Q&A last year, however, because of a game show event (I believe it was the Tokyo Game Show), he was unable to make it. However, this year, we have our Q&A Guest being the director of a vast MMORPG game, which will provide a very good insight of an independent game company rising quite well, for those who might think about doing the same thing.

Basically all people who have become staff have notoriety already, some through game-making, some through being extremely active, some through being old members, and the like. Obviously, this is vastly far from being the only requirement, but usually the notoriety rule is present, if unwritten and unspoken. I do not want to nor would I ever expect to be a staff member. I don't even post much; I just come here occasionally, it being a decent site and me sometimes having games to post. I've read the old news/updates before, and seen dedicated site-staff-members quit quite often.

Highly doubt I'll be picked. I don't really see myself doing well on this app (I've already looked at everything except the sounds, and a lot of this stuff is going to be quite difficult to judge), and a lot of people on this site (possibly some of the current staff included) hate me anyway and probably would be set against the idea of me getting privileged with a position like this. But I'll still try for it regardless... once I get the time. :L
