It wasn't deleted for not being a Mario game, it was deleted because it sucked.

Usually when I come across members of the League of Captain Obvious, they're at least decent enough to have their facts straight. They must have kicked you out.

It was deleted because it's entire purpose of being submitted was a practical joke to the QA. Hylian didn't intend for it to be accepted, so it was deleted. There is no direct connection to it being "bad".
