Cruise Elroy If you have a soft spot for this game simply by nostalgia, go ahead and play it. Otherwise, it's best to let this game continue to rest in peace. 4 / 10
CM30 With well designed levels, decent aesthetics and a ton of replay value, Super Mario Blue Twilight DX is a classic Mario game that shouldn't be missed. Play it now. 9 / 10
Banzaitron! Certainly a enjoyable game, but all the amateur-ish faults really only bring you to the conclusion that it's enjoyable because theres the OH BUT IT'S JUST FAN MADE bias. 7 / 10
MarioFan222 SMBTDX is honestly a great game, one that is not to be missed out on. In fact, download it now, because this one is staying on the desktop for a long while yet. 9 / 10
André, the Broozer SMBTDX (Super Mario: Blue Twilight DX) is a good platform game that Mario has to rescue Peach in a Halloween Night. The game is awesome, the backgrounds are beautiful and the sounds too. Download it now! 10 / 10
Thunderbolt The creator put 3 years of work into this game, and it definitely shows. 10 / 10
Henford Although overrated, Super Mario Blue Twilight DX is still a solid Mario fangame, and better than most stuff on MFGG. It is packed with secrets and features that will bring you back to it quite a few times. If you are looking for a fun fangame, or are looking to get hyped up for Halloween, then give Blue Twilight DX a go! 7 / 10
the real wart The game must have been realy hard to make and I like his taste in game making. 10 / 10
Yoshimaster A great Halloween treat that is definitely worth your time. 9 / 10
Mario Gamer This is a good game. I personally, however, find it a bit over rated. The game looks great, it's graphics are all good. The game has tons of secrets, and surprising cheats. All good there. However, the game has more controls and moves then you'll ever need. Yes, you heard me right. There IS such a thing as too much. The game gets very frustrating at times and really has no continuing story. Please read the full review to understand why I gave it this score. 7 / 10
Reformed Bob-omb This game gets 9 Yoshies. Incredible gameplay taken right from the 3D mario games and implemented into a 2D world. Ingenious idea! 9 / 10
Hatman You can obviously tell this game is amazing! And my favorite features are the abilities and bosses! This game has earned its 10/10! Good job! 10 / 10
bigmariofan1.0 Definetley, worth download time,it can almost not get any better! 9 / 10

Great game but how do I unlock the Behind the game thing? I got all of the big coins and beat all of the levels but I have no ideas how to unlock the behind the game thing.

Didja beat the Count?

Oh, I found the secret levels so forget what I said. I should have used the search feature on MFGG's message board earlier. >_>

What did you search for?

I swear, I've been playing the entire game, over and over, and can't find a single secret exit.

change your date on your computer to the date of halloween and you get the real final awesome level with an awsome boss battle. same with april fools and christmas. comment me back if it worked.

the real wart Aug 11 2006, 4:39 PM
will there be a sequal?

Ultimate Mario Aug 12 2006, 5:02 AM
Yeah, it worked. That World 1-1 level was weird. I was being chased by lava, next thing you know, I'm in the 1st level of the original Mario game.

the real wart Aug 12 2006, 6:28 PM
But wasn't the final boss awesome?!

KING PIRANHA PLANT Aug 13 2006, 2:11 AM
Some of the special moves get more and more useless as the game goes by, and timing your jumps in Boo Mansion is pure evil. Other than that, this is probably the greatest game I've ever played on MFGG.

BlazeHedgehog Aug 13 2006, 5:37 PM
No. No sequel. It took me like three years just to do 12 levels, and you want a sequel?

Besides, as I wrote in one of the extras or something, this pretty much represents every single unique idea I had for the game. MarioWeen DX is everything I wanted the game to be, period.

A friend of mine was working on an upgrade - with a better engine (smoother control, works a bit more like SMB3) and a couple new bosses - called MarioWeen EX, but he hasn't touched that in a very long time.

Yeah, he was awesome. I swear though, I was thinking I had to go through the game and find some secret exit. Then I find out, all I need to do is change the date on my computer. XD

the real wart Aug 24 2006, 2:37 PM
Where did you get the music? they were not remixed but were the ordinary.

the real wart Aug 24 2006, 11:51 PM
This may sound silly, but I am making the sequal for this game. It's gong to have lots of demons and levels and bosses and secrets!

the real wart Aug 26 2006, 7:25 PM
there might be a triple jump in yhe sequal but I replaced the wall kick move with a drill jump from smw.

BlazeHedgehog Sep 2 2006, 8:24 PM
Uh. You... can't make a sequel unless I give you permission to. And I don't want you affilated with my game. Go make your own stuff!

the real wart Sep 4 2006, 8:06 PM
Okey dokey then!

the real wart Sep 4 2006, 9:03 PM
by the way, I sent an email with the game if you were curious to see what it looks like.

Bog leech is a sprite website that has great halloween sprites for making games. I recommend that site for people that want to make scary games.

could I have the engine for this game? You should post a tutorial of this. The wall jumps were good and the triple jumps were good too.
