Mario has been kidnapped by a gang of militant walruses and transported to a psychiatric prison. He must escape and figure out why these strange events are happening! This platformer boasts over 30 one-of-a-kind levels, high-quality Ogg Vorbis music, and an achievements system.
Update - January 1, 2016: Version 1.2.3 revamps the save system and should prevent the "can't clear levels" glitch from occurring. I also made a few tweaks to make the difficulty a bit fairer.
Decent Game. Although the Music Glitches when upon loading the game and then the Map Music stays on the game whenever I load any Level. And then the Boss Music gets stuck with it, doesn't really go away.
Wesley: I thought I'd completely eliminated that glitch. I'll look into that. For now, if that problem happens, just restart the game or press F8.
Diald: A few other people have had that problem with games using this DLL, though I'm not sure whether it's because of my programming, the DLL itself, or your computer.
Also, I forgot to mention this, but I'll give a small prize (probably a song or a drawing) to anyone who can find the Magic Vuvuzela or all the Red Coins in the game, or better yet, all the achievements.
It seems kinda hard to land on the dolphins that are in the "Dolphin Drama" level. Every other time I jump on them, I somehow fall through them. This only applies to the ones that jump straight up in one spot though. Its a very well made game VinnyVideo. That's just a noticeable problem I've had.
Dark Bowser is rather tough, so you might want to have a reserve power-up when you start the fight. Also keep in mind there's a good deal of randomness regarding his attack pattern, so sometimes it takes longer than other times to beat him.
Awesome game Vinny! It's easy to get into and has a huge lot of personality in the levels.
For example, LOLED at Left Wing Consipracy. Then I got to Cannabis Creek mumbling holy how in the- what the heck, bit my lip and and got through it feeling amazed.
And the general gameplay is really good, especially the level design. Did you design the levels on the fly, or did you draw up a big plan like on paper in advance?
I noticed some bugs: * Each time I get Game Over, then choosing Load Game the map music becomes overlapped with the stage music, after that it says "encountered a problem and needs to close" when I quit using Esc. * AL - ERROR - 40961 (mostly in Cannabis Creek, and when transitioning between stages and the map). I have Win-XP and sound chip integrated in laptop. * Flooded Flats never unlocks the next stage in my 2 saved games - Edit: I noticed the completion of this stage gave the AL ERROR crash... maybe that causes the unlock to break?
Please don't tell me that you were playing the February update of the game. That patch was supposed to fix the randomly-occurring Can't Clear Levels Glitch. Either way, just play the level again and it should clear, and I'll see what I can do when I release another bugfix.
This game WAS good (even if its an edit of hello's engine, jk.); however, I can't avoid the collisions problems with it. BUT that's not what ticked me with
this. I had an intention to finish this game and give it the praise it was aiming for. When I beat level 5 (after dying like 5 times) it didn't mark it as "complete" Which discouraged me from playing this game any further. There's nothing worse
to me than having to repeat a level due to an annoying flaw :/ sorry, but that's it. 4/10.
Storyline: 2/10 T_T I'm one of those people who don't really find any humor in gray mammals. though, I'll give it an additional 4 points for the random chase
cutscene in the beginning that seemed to progress what was happening.
Music: 8/10. I liked all the songs except the "regular level" song. It loses 2 whole
points xD.
Potential: 7.8/10. This game would've been on my 8/10 list had it not been for that
glitch. Trust me, if you were in my place, wanted to play a game, defeated an
annoying level only to have to repeat in because of a glitch, you'd get annoyed too..
I believe the walrus was apart of some joke, (I think its a meem or something, but I
know what it is, and I didn't find any humor in it.)
Overall would be rating would be 7 or 8/10 but out of pure rage, it gets a 5 or 6/10
