General Commentary and Game Overview
Blueburn67 has offered us a new, unique minigame. This game is a colossal finger-aching button-presser. Your hand will get tired after playing, but it is fairly worth it for the fun little point of the game. Tons of extras are packed in with unlockable characters; this game could get addicting for some people who get addicting to small minigames like this. The presentation is fabulous with unique graphics and asian music with a completely pointless, humorous goal.

*Unlockable characters.

*All custom sprites as far as I could tell.

*Nice presentation.

*Good, simple multiplayer engine.

Cons *Seemingly TOO simple.

Gameplay
8 / 10
This is a possibly addicting little minigame that offers a unique, new, pointless, and hilarious style of gameplay. This extremely simple minigame (which feels a little TOO simple) is basically, as the title explains, sumo-wrestling in the sky. The object of the game is to shove the other player off the tiny platform the two players are pushing each other on. It is basically reversed tug-o-war.

The player holds down a button to push in a certain direction, and repeatedly presses a button above to build power against the other. Like a repeat-button-pressure minigame from Mario Party, it isn't that amusing. Your finger will get extremely tired after the first round; though this is a good game to kill some time with, especially with a friend.

The greatest thing about the game would probably be all of the extras put into it. The player can choose to go to training and compete in little, fun minigame missions that often involve the same type of gameplay the sumo-wrestling does, but with not as big addiction or presentation. The sumo-wrestling is the big game here, and another great thing about this game is the characters. There are about eight (if I remember right) characters to play as, and most of them are unlockables.

You can also get money by competing in training missions and the great feature of the game, the competitions. One-by-one your character will face different Mario characters in the same game of pushing madness. It is as simple as the Super Mat Games we've played, with better presentation and more extras packed in.

Graphics
9 / 10
The graphics are great; they all seem to be customs and all work nicely together. The intro formed an interesting camera scene with buildings moving with the camera in an almost 3-D paralax. Like I said, the presentation is great and the sprites are well done.

Sound
6 / 10
I noticed about two asian songs in this game that weren't amusing or Mario-like, but slightly funny for a moment. They seem to suit the game, but they get extremely annoying after a while.

Replay
8 / 10
This, as many other good minigames, is one of those games that you can play again and again whenever you're bored. A good time-killer and a fun little game with great extras that may have easily-addicted gamers... well... addicted.

Final Words
8 / 10
This minigame is extremely simple and slightly addicting in all of its unique structure and great presentation. Packed with extras and unlockable characters, Mario Sky Sumo is certainly worth trying and also a great time-killer.
