General Commentary and Game Overview
"Paper Bowser World" is an interesting fangame from a board member who specializes in all things Paper Mario 2 - as such, the game has a homely feel to the second Paper Mario's Bowser platform minigames, and touts custom made Paper Mario-esque sprites. The downside is that, because Toodles worked on this for such a short time, I can't help but think that he didn't put his whole heart into it. The game borrows so much from it's sister minigames from Paper Mario, but almost too much - in fact, some of the errors in the minigame for the official Nintendo product are revisited in this. As such, there are no lives, and the difficulty remains extremely easy.

Pros -Nice, smooth engine
-Amusing dialogue
-WELL WRITTEN dialogue
-Well done physics
-"To roots" gameplay

Cons -Ridiculously easy
-Fairly bland level design
-Enemies pose barely any threat
-Lenient, non-punishing "health" system

Impressions
Gameplay
6 / 10
The gameplay remains much like that of Paper Mario 2's Bowser minigame, like already established. Many of the features and physics of the engine used in Paper Mario 2 remain intact, but so do the uninteresting and erroneous features the minigame had. It's almost a clear cruise to the end of the game, because there are no lives, and the game is incredibly easy. Due to there also not being anything very interesting about the level design and enemies (aside from the Bullet Bills), the game itself starts to repeat and become boring. While the game does indeed have an unvarying tone to it, the engine is still fairly well constructed, and Toodles has proven himself to be higher on the ladder as simply somebody at an intermediate skill level in the programming language of Game Maker.

Graphics
9 / 10
Paper Mario 2-like. Some of the graphics are grainy, but that doesn't mean they completely wear out their charm.

Sound
10 / 10
Many of the sounds are directly ripped from Paper Mario 2, which once again makes the game seem almost like a simulator of it's predecessive cousin. Though the tunes of Paper Mario 2 remain snazzy, so I have no real complaints.

Replay
5 / 10
Only to the extent of viewing the excellency of Toodles' engine - I can't say I'm extremely interested in playing the game again for awhile to come, especially considering that the game has no more appeal after being beaten.

Final Words
7 / 10
Paper Bowser World should not be mistaken as another subpar attempt at making a Bowser game - the engine is solid and intact, but other elements are void of entertainment, and boring. The author has expressed interest in making a sequel, so I strongly hope he reads my review in hopes of finding some things to "touch up on".

As I've pointed out before, the game was designed to be easy. I wanted to create a silly parody, not a groundbreaking new experience. That was my goal. Still, a 7/10 is still a good score, so thanks! I do have several improvements in mind to make the sequal more of a challenge, so keep your eyes peeled.

You're the second user to ruin the ten rating for the game.

He didn't ruin it. He said what he thought about the game. That's what reviews are for!

I will anticipate it. And I suggest you keep the witty dialogue and amusing plot - you do a good job of emulating the humorous script from Paper Mario, as well. :)

Of course I'm going to keep the humor in it! That's what Paper Bowser World is all about!
