I think the lines just need to be smoother and less wobbly on some of the custom parts, especially the eyes and the bag. The bag's shading could also use a lot more contrast.

Nice! Though I think I prefer the recolors on the bottom, especially the NES themed ones. For some reason I'm not too big on the palette of the main sprites. Good job in general though!

I really like this! He looks so cute! In regards to the style, from what I saw people were just pointing out that the old style was similar enough to the official sprites that it seemed almost a bit pointless to use them rather than the official ones. With this new style, the sprites look unique enough to be a completely different style and take on "paper mario." Not to say you shouldnt continue the old style if it's what makes you happy (since you're doing these without pay, it should be fun to you). They just may not be as well received as these ones because most people agree that this style is favorable.

They aren't 8-bit, but aside from that they're pretty cute! There are some big flaws though. First I would say the shading doesn't really follow the form of the objects. Like on the ice cream, the shading doesn't help make it seem round and puffy, instead it just makes it seem very flat. The same with the shading on the other objects and characters. As for the lakitu character, his poses are a bit stiff looking. Just keep spriting and you're certain to improve! :)

It's nice! But it isn't really in TTYD/SPM style. In those games, the outlines were just darker colors of the inside fill colors. The outlines could also stand to be thinner, and the ellipsis on the top of the can are a bit wobbly. The resolution is also much higher than the game's sprites, but that's less of an issue since that can be scaled down. So it's pretty neat on its own, but it's just not exactly fitting the style you were going for.

You should report the submission if it is stolen work. Anyway these sprites are very bad. He has two left hands, the line art and shading is a mess, the color choices are awful, and the list goes on. If you're going to clearly rip off someone else's work, at least do it well.

Make whatever you want to make. It doesn't matter what people want, you're making these for fun so just do what you wanna do :) In regards to the sprite itself, I love it! It seems to blend in with the officials quite well.

Nice sprites! I like the castle and toad houses a lot :) The colors on a lot of them are a bit too saturated for me, though. The castle's colors look good to me, but a lot of the others are a little too strong I think (especially the pinks and yellows) o_o

The eel looks good, despite some parts of the fins (?) that could use cleanup, but it animates quite awkwardly. Everything else is just a bit disfigured and misshapen. Keep practicing, though, and you're sure to improve :)
