This is a solid game with potential. I suggest rethinking that HUD layout though. It's cluttered and it's hard to tell what some of the elements stand for.

Great work. I wonder if she might look better with the brown color replaced with something closer to black on her 8-bit sprite. There isn't a lot of contrast in value between the brown and her skin tone which makes her sprite a little hard to read.

I agree with everyone else on the frontal pose being terrifying, but the rest looks pretty nice. I'd just watch the shape of the dress as it looks kind of strange and wobbly.

Nice work. You maintained their proportions well and they don't feel to mushy, which is often an issue with upscaled sprites.

It's by no means a "good game" but I had fun playing it. It reminds me of early to mid 2000s fan games. Not to imply that it would have been considered good even then, it just has that feel. It also reminds me of my Mario games I would make with Clickteam products when I was 12 except my visuals were never quite as ugly (but my programming was much worse!).
