Coding is too complicated. It's very hard to understand. Edit from years later: I still stand by this. How does one code? How does one string together all those seemingly random characters and make things work? To an outsider, it's like magic, but for a programmer, it's as natural as speaking. How does this happen? How does one condition their brains to speak the language of code? How does one get so familiar with programming logic that concepts that beginners have to spend days to understand become trivial, just like moving your own arm? It's hard to comprehend, even as someone who codes for such a long time. So yes, coding IS complicated. I can code, but I still don't understand how the magic happens to this day. Though that being said, with the original comment I think I meant "The code in this example is way too complicated for me to understand." and somehow managed to completely mess it up. |
