Pros | -Awesome physics (except for one flaw I'll point out later) -Awesome implementation of the physics -Awesome level design (I won't lie here) -A really nice soundtrack -Pretty nice and simple layout -A simple start screen, I absolutely love simple start screens. Gameplay 8 / 10 |
The game implements many nice attributes into it, including it's main focus, gravity. I honestly think, that the gravity was pulled off perfectly. There are four stages of gravity in the game, each of which with it's own special abilities tied into them, which are really nice. For example, when gravity is put at it's maximum, you can crush blocks by standing on them. And when gravity is at it's lowest, you can walk off a ledge, and through the air, without falling. This is a really really cool concept, and as I said before, really nicely pulled off. There is one problem however ... well, two actually. The first problem, is that there is no friction. Nada. Which, I guess, kinda gets in the way of the gravity affect, because movement is really really choppy. Secondly, the game is HARD. I'm serious, this game will make you want to bang your head against the keyboard. Repeatedly. Don't play this game unless you've played (And beat) any of the following games: -Jumper -Jumper 2 -FLaiL -IWBTG Because it's easily on par with those games. So overall, I give gameplay an |
Graphics 5 / 10 |
Let's face it, the graphics are heavily overused. Smb3 is done with people, why not try something new for once? I can't say anything overly complex about the graphics, because they are what they are, and they aren't much at all. I give graphics a |
Sound 10 / 10 |
Sound was really, really, really, nice. The music was soothing. There are a few nice touches here and there as well, such as a soft "thump" when mario lands on the ground. All the sounds are executed nicely, and the music is just as nice, if not better. I give sound a |
Replay 3 / 10 |
This game honestly doesn't have much replay value, and I want to say it does, but I honestly can't see myself playing this game again. Don't get me wrong, the game is nice, but the replay value is horrendous. If you ever make a sequel, Ultramario, add unlockables. That would kick ass. I give replay |

I tried to get past the second level, but I couldn't. Not that this game is bad, or anything, I just found it to be a tad bit frustrating. Fix up the difficulty, get rid of the overused graphics, add some replay value, and this could end up being an amazing game. |
