General Commentary and Game Overview
Yoshi's Adventure is a Yoshi fangame by Kjellm87. In the game, you control Yoshi through five levels in order to help him rescue his family.

Pros - Great gameplay
- Custom graphics
- MIDI's are good quality

Cons - Its a short game
- Eggs are thrown by using the mouse

Impressions
Gameplay
9 / 10
Kjellm87 always does a good job of replicating the engines of actual Nintendo games, and that skill is represented here. Yoshi plays just fine and has all of his trademark moves, and there are a lot of nice gameplay elements and enemy varieties added in. The only bad thing is that you have to use the mouse to throw eggs, which isn't really a big thing, but gameplay would be more smooth if you used a button like everything else. The big problem with the game is its length, as there are only five levels. Since the game is so fun, its a shame that the game ends so quickly. As a Yoshi game fan, I can say that the game experience is fun while it lasts.

Graphics
8 / 10
Like his other games, Kjellm87 drew completely custom graphics for the game. Although the graphics look a little unprofessional, the fact that photoshop was used makes the game look a lot better compared to other novice sprite games and avoids the cheap MS Paint look. The game also looks like a Yoshi game, what with the different textures and such.

Sound
7 / 10
The game uses MIDIs, which are of good quality. There are some Yoshi songs, but there are also some songs I've never heard before, which were nice and fit each level. There's a lot less sound effects than you would think, but the ones that are there work fine. Its notable that Yoshi's "record scratching" voice from Mario Party is used rather than his newer one.

Replay
7 / 10
The game is very short, but its a fun game and one you will want to play again. Its too bad there aren't any secrets (that I know of).

Final Words
9 / 10
Yet another quality fangame from one of my favorite developers.
