General Commentary and Game Overview
What is defend bowsers castle? A mario tower defense game you say? Well it sorta is... and it's sorta is its own game. You buy troops, and then send them out to defeat oncoming enemy's to keep bowser's castle up. Sounds easy, right? Wrong. There are many different enemy's, each with their own ability. Standard toads walk forward and let snifits shoot. Cloud toads move skyward on clouds and drop bombs over bowser's castle. Mario is like a toad, except he jumps over oncoming obstacles. Tanks are big and can only be hit with bomb-ombs and bullet bills. Yoshis eat your troops, which is annoying. And according to the help file, there are also armored enemy's.
You also have a variety of troops. Koopas spin at walking enemy's. Lakitu's drop spiny's and hurt toads under them. Goombas drop down onto unsuspecting foe's. And finally, bob-ombs explode on tanks and yoshi's. You can also upgrade the castles defence. While you play, good and fresh music plays in the backround, with fitting sfx. And there seems to be no end to the fun of this great game.
