General Commentary and Game Overview
What is defend bowsers castle? A mario tower defense game you say? Well it sorta is... and it's sorta is its own game. You buy troops, and then send them out to defeat oncoming enemy's to keep bowser's castle up. Sounds easy, right? Wrong. There are many different enemy's, each with their own ability. Standard toads walk forward and let snifits shoot. Cloud toads move skyward on clouds and drop bombs over bowser's castle. Mario is like a toad, except he jumps over oncoming obstacles. Tanks are big and can only be hit with bomb-ombs and bullet bills. Yoshis eat your troops, which is annoying. And according to the help file, there are also armored enemy's.
You also have a variety of troops. Koopas spin at walking enemy's. Lakitu's drop spiny's and hurt toads under them. Goombas drop down onto unsuspecting foe's. And finally, bob-ombs explode on tanks and yoshi's. You can also upgrade the castles defence. While you play, good and fresh music plays in the backround, with fitting sfx. And there seems to be no end to the fun of this great game.

Pros Very fun
High replay
Good gameplay
One of the few strategy games on MFGG
Unique music
Need I say more?

Cons Can't skip intro, nor game over.
Controls aren't shown to you in-game
No windowed mode
Graphics slightly clash.
Icon isn't that good, and loading bar could be better.
Needs more enemy's and troops.

Impressions
Gameplay
8 / 10
=> Really good, the menu's are nice and responsive, and the game itself is pretty polished. However, I wish you had a tad bit more control over things. Along with that, there could be more enemy's(Luigi, toad on yoshi, etc.) as well as troops(Hammer Bros., Pirana Plants, Bowser breating fire, etc.)
Overall, Great!

Graphics
7 / 10
At first they seem to be in a mix of SMB3/2. Then, you see SMB1 sprites. Then SMW? While there is a huge mix, they don't clash. At the same time, they don't stand out. I noticed that the ? block in the intro had eyes. However, the shop menu is nice.
Overall, Average.

Sound
9 / 10
One of the best parts, mainly because it uses music noones used before. The music is quite fitting music from Kingdom Hearts(I only know because of the comments)
The sfx fits too, although some better/newer sfx could've been used, and sometimes the sfx isn't very audible.
Overall, Amazing!

Replay
9 / 10
Being a strategy game, a big thing is replay. This game certainly has it. The game is fun enough to keep you playing for weeks, and you'll still pop into it time to time.
Overall, High.

Final Words
8 / 10
Defend Bowser's Castle is a very fun Mario strategy game.
Add some more enemies and troops and improve the graphics, and you'll have a very good game.

The ? block had eyes? That's the SMW ? block after being hit, it's always been like that. Still, with those suggestions, I could perhaps make a sequel. Would that be interesting?

No the ? block had eyes while the ? was still there.(while it was spinning) Look close at the ? block.

That was the original SMW sprite for the block, completely unchanged.
And one reason that some sounds were nearly inaudible is because there is a chance that the sound might be played 5 or 6 times at once and I don't want anyone complaining to me because I deafened them.
