Game Reviewed | Chuck You, by Roo |

Pros | -Solid engine -Music is a nice change |
Cons | -Puzzles make for boring pace -Extreme difficulty - Can't even pass the 3 spike wheels |
Gameplay 5 / 10 |
It's a platformer starring Chargin' Chuck....right? Apparently, that's just the surface of it. The gist is that you have to run across spike wheel gauntlets and stress over your football not hitting the switch. This just is NOT the kind of game you should do that with! The concept would have been miles better with just regular platforming. I don't mind a challenge, but this is ridiculous. |
Graphics 6 / 10 |
The graphics are just Super Mario World graphics. You've seen those before. Here, however, I suppose they work more than they do in many other games |
Sound 6 / 10 |
New music. So that's cool. |
Replay 3 / 10 |
Several points are docked for the fact that pure frustration lies ahead of you. |

This was a case where I wanted a mere platformer with the Chuck. However, I instead got a trial and error game with pretty hard difficulty and puzzles in which you must throw your football projectiles in a VERY, VERY precise fashion. |

How was this review accepted? I'm all for differing viewpoints but when the whole review is basically "WHY ISN'T THIS EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED", I truly have to wonder what I could change in the game to make the score higher.

The very least you could do was not rely on pure precision and high difficulty. Kinda figured you'd get that. |

I've already said that I'll have a difficulty setting and I'm not really sure what you want me to do about the required precision. Do you often complain about crossword puzzles because they contain "too many words"? |

Do you often complain about crossword puzzles because they contain "too many words"? The required precision is incredibly steep, as I couldnt even pass the tutorial. At first, it was because of the annoyance of having to bounce the football up high so it can hit the switch. Then, it was the frustration I experienced trying to throw the ball through the gap afterwards. What crossword puzzles have to do with this is beyond my knowledge. |

Then, it was the frustration I experienced trying to throw the ball through the gap afterwards. Everyone else seemed to get past through those with no problem. I'm not going to change my game for a person who clearly wanted something completely different. Maybe you should make that action-platformer-whatever yourself. |
