The mushroom phone sprite will come in handy for me actually. Nice job on these!

IMO there's absolutely no need to apologize for "getting off topic." Conversations naturally derail; it's not like it was done without a segue. By the way, do you like Cap'n Crunch? As per your request I've replied to your other points via PM.

No one is at his throat at all

That's subjective. I feel a lot of the comments made after his apology (such as "take the criticism" AFTER he already said he didn't want to fight constructive criticism) were unneeded and it became less about feedback on his game and more about feedback on how he should be receiving feedback. It is (or was, hopefully) his attitude. Saying "just stop it" when people are genuinely trying to help you isn't really the most appropriate way to respond. I DO get that he apologized though, and I forgave him.

IMO neither side handled this very maturely -- we shouldn't need "STOP IT!" "HEY I WAS JUST TWYING TO HALP!" "I'M SOWWY!" "DAT'S OTAY!" interrupting an MFGG dispute. But again, that's just my opinion. (Apologies for my ridiculous representation of the situation but that's how it appeared to me.)

Oh, not this again :I

"Again"? If multiple people are telling you this, then maybe you should consider the possibility your reviews are too harsh.

Did you read the review? Maybe I rated it low for a reason. As a reviewer (and I'll say this again below) I'm always accepting feedback in the review comments to become a better one myself. Because you feel that this game doesn't deserve something I gave it, that means that I cannot review effectively?
You know, instead of criticizing my so called ineffective reviewing here, you can always provide some feedback on the review itself.

I can't tell you that you gave the game a lower number than it deserved because the review is supposed to reflect how you, the reviewer, personally feel about the game. But the number for your review doesn't even match the comments you make. 3/10 is a horrible, horrible score. Here in the game's comments you say "Not bad, I guess" yet you give the game a 3/10. Is 3/10 what you consider "not bad I guess"? Like I said, numbers will vary person to person but I'd be greatly intrigued on your criteria for a 10/10 game, a 9/10 game, an 8/10 game, a 7/10 game, and so on. And I can't consider your past reviews a good way for me to determine your criteria because frankly the few high review scores you give are downright confusing to me.

Interesting game, fun concept, fantastic presentation! It's so great to see a developer willing to stray away from the cookie cutter standard MFGG has set these recent years. My only problem (and it's a big one) is the grinding. It gets a tad boring fighting the same enemies over and over again. Less enemies and more EXP would fix this. Additionally a tutorial character for action commands early in the game.

Also why is everyone still at SEVA's throat after he apologized and said he was willing to take criticism? IMO it's in best practice to criticize a developer's game, not a developer's behavior (especially since he did apologize.) Leave the poor guy alone. @SEVA: Please don't get discouraged. I'd love to see more projects from you in the future.

Also, I submitted a review.
>3/10

Oh boy, another one of your typical harsh scores. Why am I not surprised?

ALT is a bad key to map anything to because it activates window functions. CTRL and SHIFT are bad because the player is obligated to disable Sticky Keys and Toggle Keys in Windows. Z&X are bad because some foreign keyboards have the Z key clear on the other side of the keyboard.

It's really hard to decide what the controls should be since those are the usual standards, but if you don't feel like adding custom controls I suggest using A&S or X&C.

The Blooper sprite should have a little more movement.

"Her special heart attack" <-- I laughed. Anyway I think her shade of red could use a little more contrast.

Well guys, Bloop Rinse has been updated. There's nothing in the text at the top indicating this, but the ZIP file is updated so I'll post the updates here:

-The issue where it froze after the title screen on some computers should be completely fixed.
-You can now enable/disable texture interpolation ("blurriness") with the F12 key. The game will also remember your preference.
-Fixed some minor collision errors that caused the Blooper to get stuck in walls.
-Online scores! (Optional.) They appear at: http://gmhighscores.com/highscores.php?gameid=2534

This should go without saying but you'll need to download the new version to see these features. Also, I've read a lot of suggestions but I don't really want to tamper with the gameplay of this one. I'll take all your suggestions into consideration for the sequel!

Too hard minigame! My points: 3720! O.o

I made this game when I was 14. I'm 21 now, and I'm surprised people still play it. It's old, difficult and glitchy.

At first I was worried about them being SPC files but it actually had exactly what I was looking for (Pauline's "help" voice clips.) Nice job!

Under cons, "-None, except the blooper is blurry when he is moving left and right."

Now I feel bad for suggesting that.

Oh well.

Don't worry about it, I still won the competition. *shot*
