I'm sorry, but I didn't really like this. In fact, the only reason I completed the demo was because it was so damn polished. :3

The gameplay is very annoying. I hate using letter controls (why does everyone use those?) On top of that, combining mouse controls and keyboard controls is just confusing. And the hammer system is annoying too. It doesn't even feel like a hammer system to me because all I'm doing is clicking and deleting. It'd be MUCH better if you used a keyboard key to hammer, and give Toad a hammer sprite. I imagine it wouldn't be that difficult. And don't even get me started on how unfair and confusing that boss is.

Why did you disable full screen anyway? Looking at that small window almost made me quit the game. Also, Toad needs a LOT more traction; he's too slippery. And the jumping sprite doesn't look like he's jumping. IMO it should be more of a 'Mario fist in the air' styled jump. And the graphics clash, as well. You seem bordered between Paper Mario styled sprites and Super Princess Peach styled sprites. The HUD needs a little work, too, along with the message boxes. Some objects look overly/underly resized as well. The giant blocks shatter into too many small blocks. Also, the door animation is just horrible. You would have been better off xscaling each side of the door.

As for the sounds, they're decent. They need to be more balanced, however. For example, some sounds are too high, like the jump, while others are too low, like the 'hammer thowing' and the switch sounds.

.....but other than that, it's a wonderful game. Like I said before, it's very polished. Just fix those major problems and annoyances, and it'll be near perfection. ;)

Alright, it is REALLY refreshing to see a game this good on MFGG.

The particle effects are eye candy, always a plus, but however there's the tiles you used. Super Paper Mario, alright, but they were JPG'd. Never a good thing to do, be sure to save your tiles and sprites as PNG.

A lot of the things in this were clever, and I loved some of the things you did. The hammer wasn't that hard to use, anyone who is FPS inclined will easily be able to move their hand to the mouse and use it. Also, I recommend having more interesting level structure. This demo level was a flat land with random block placement, and that's not very fun. The boss was very interesting and fun, I must say.

Anyways, I'll leave it at that. I like what I see here, and fixing some of the flaws will make this a solid game for the MFGG library.

For people on laptops or such things, I'm assuming, because the directional keys on mine are so compact that they're near impossible to use for gaming.
Mouse controls unfair for people with laptops too, though, so that's very contradictory.

I quite liked MarioQuest 3, for the gameplay, anyway, the story, not so much, but it's quite fun. Most of the others are quite good as well.

You might be able to shrink the game's screenshot to 100x100. Then add the "Toad's Adventure Chapter 1" logo on it.

Totally love it. Please tell me you're going to continue? By the way the second level looks to much on the version of Super Paper Mario. Oh again by the way how do you created this?

dude, there is no such thing as "16 bit toad with hammer outfit on", the person who made the game needs to MAKE that sprite, and the "it wouldn't be that difficult" part, you try drawing in a 16 bit style, not so easy is it?
