Excellent tileset!

Doesn't really look much like a rock material. Looks more like asphalt with you using the spray tool in mspaint to me.

It's not a horrible tileset, just a very boring one.

Are you sure you didn't just edit Mario & Luigi Peach to make this? The poses look very familiar!

Claiming you made flying, hurt Boom Boom, fragments of spike ball, pokey and snow pokey is a straight up lie. They already existed on RTB's sprite sheet that you edited.
Dec 15 2020, 2:24 PM See Page
https://www.spriters-resource....2/sheet/119432/ Pose for pose, you just copy/pasted existing SNES SMB3 sprites over RTB's ripped sprite sheet and badly shaded anything that didn't have a sprite from SNES SMB3 (like Bowser Jr.). You also got rid of two banzai bill frames, a bill blaster and cannon for some reason.

Honestly your criticism at this point is far more subjective than it is objective, if you do so much as to say how "boring the poses are". The poses really just serve their purpose.
I don't see what the problem is. But if there's one problem I do see, is that your condescension was pretty unnecessary.

Give me a break.

You are welcome to your opinion that the poses are just fine. The only condescending thing here is your attempt to dismiss someone else's opinion completely just because you don't agree with it.

I have no interest in arguing about my opinion with you. It's not addressed to you at all and has nothing to do with you.

this fight is one person just gave criticism and the owner of it just writing wall of text, just brilliant.

He's not even the owner. He has no stakes in this.

Not as ridiculous as undermining the fact that Mario and Luigi are quite frankly doing the exact same pose as well. ROFL

I am not going to criticize them for graphics they didn't make. Either way, that doesn't really change my mind when it comes to how little content this sheet has. Please do use at least a fraction of that big brain of yours. Regardless of the existing poses ripped from the game (by someone else), they could do at least a little more than copy and paste Toad to make Toadette, especially given the fact that there's really nothing else to this sprite sheet.
Dec 12 2020, 6:49 PM See Page
The pixel art is okay. However, the shading on Toad and Toadette are not nearly as detailed as on Mario, Luigi or Peach. Both are doing the exact same pose, too, which is pretty boring. Submitting a whole sheet dedicated to just two variations of the same exact pose and some alt colors is quite ridiculous imo.

Trust me when I say I don't think anyone will ever steal this sprite, imposter or otherwise. This sprite is too small to be useful and rather low quality for this site in general anyways.

Oh, and take it easy, this guy's just a kid.

I'll agree that saying they shouldn't just blindly follow internet trends for attention was a bit much. (I still stand by it, it's something that I believe wholeheartedly) However, whether someone is a kid or not, they need to be ready to receive criticism any time they put something on the internet. If they are too young to accept and understand that, then they are too young to be posting content on the internet unsupervised.

That look like the sprite in Kirby adventure NES

The proportions and poses are different. I just checked the Kirby Adventure sprite on TSR.

Please branch out and do something besides NES style sprites. This site is oversaturated with them and you are not doing yourself any favors as an artist by staying firmly in your comfort zone.

Please make something more original next time. This site is oversaturated with SMB1 style graphics.

I'll be honest, it's still quite obvious that you edited this from SMB1 Mario and you should do WAAAAAY more to make it look less like an edit. For example, Knuckles and Sonic do not share Mario's chubby proportions.

I agree with lueio. This isn't master system style and does look like a quick sprite done in MS Paint. Looks like you used the circle tool and just animated the face and feet. You should probably include the explosion effect on a bob-omb sheet, by the way.

Also, here's the credits which Super Piter refused to include on MFGG for some reason:

"Credits:

-Nintendo for obvious reasons.
-Hartflip0218 for doing the Mario sprites.
-Ostrich101 for the first level's tiles and decorations.
-Josiah for the bush re-decoration (Halloween)
-Mit for the enemy sprites (Goombas, Koopas and Koopa Shells)"

There is absolutely no reason that a one level demo should be 163 megabytes unzipped. You need to compress your audio and remove any files not needed to run the executable.

This is your responsibility under the Submission Rules:
"2.7 - MFGG now accepts game submissions that are as large as 100 megabytes in size. ***However, please do not abuse this privilege. Take care to keep game sizes manageable by removing unused resources and by encoding audio to minimize file sizes.*** For instance, if you submit a simple minigame that uses a 40-megabyte WAV file for background music, we will likely decline the submission for being needlessly large."

Excellent work, everyone involved. I do hope that you all find time to at least end the game in a more satisfying way, though.
