General Commentary and Game Overview
From the darkness, a plothole has arised. Dr. Wily, from the MegaMan series, seeks to take over Yoshi's Island... for some reason.

Pros Addictive. Challenge increases nicely over time.

Cons MegaMan characters do not belong on Yoshi's Island.

Impressions
Gameplay
8 / 10
Robots are falling from the sky, and Yoshi must stop them; for if they touch the ground, part of it will be destroyed, and then robots will be free to enter the Island and kill all the poor Yoshis. Move Yoshi with the usual arrow keys and use space bar to jump - a rather nice and simple control setup. Use Yoshi's noggin to bump the robots away from the ground and earn points. Dr. Wily has an unlimited supply of those cursed things, calling for a mini game of unlimited length and ediction.

Graphics
7 / 10
Decent. All of the graphics are ripped from various SNES games, enlarged and smoothed (aka hi res). The clouds at the top of the stage don't seem to blend properly with the environment, though. And, what's with the spikes on the bottom of the robots? Yoshi can safely bump them up into the air from the spiked bottom. Yoshi must be pretty hard headed...

Sound
5 / 10
The Yoshi's Island theme plays in the background just about the whole time. Selectable musics would have been nice. The SFX are slightly repetitive.

Replay
7 / 10
Yep, just about any mini game is good for boredom, but Yoshi's Invasion is among the best thanks to its addictivness and increasing challenge.

Final Words
8 / 10
Without a doubt one of the better mini-games. I just wish video game villians would stick to trying to conquer their own world.
