General Commentary and Game Overview
I don't know exactly how I was convinced into playing this game when I first saw it (Maybe it's the Cape Mario and Yoshi dragging me in), but man. After I loaded it, I knew I hit the jackpot. Super Mario Bros. 6 is more than just a Mario fangame. It is somewhat like the Sonic Generations of Mario fangaming, nostalgia-wise. You see, the game takes levels from several past Mario games, from the original Super Mario Bros (Of course..) to Super Mario World (Oh!) to New Super Mario Bros! There are also new original levels as well. Now, don't make fun of me when I say this, but, I almost went to tears of joy when I realized I entered into a Yoshi's Island-style underground level. That underground theme alone strikes a chord to me. But the fun doesn't stop there! How? You've got elements of SMB through Mario 64. What else could there be? Well, I advanced through the castle level, only to find out that the boss is >SPOILER ALERT< =GASP=!!!!! THE KOOPA BROS!!! Oh, my god!! I couldn't believe it at all....

And after beating them, I was saddened to know that this was only a demo.

Pros -Nostalgia factor
-Superb gameplay elements
-Colorful graphics taken from respective Mario games
-Fitting choices of music and sound effects

Cons -Nothing! Nothing at all!

Impressions
Gameplay
10 / 10
This is some of the best 2D Mario fangaming action that I've played with in a long while. I wish there were more fangames that came as close to Mario games as this one did. You can't possibly hate a game like this when it comes to the old-school Mario physics combined with wall-jumping and some Yoshi's Island bits.

Graphics
9 / 10
While there are clashing graphics (Meh, I clash with them, too, but I wouldn't care), those graphics from respective Mario games are so colorful and awesome that you have no choice but to like what's going on here.

Sound
10 / 10
Music can send messages to you, too, you know. In this case, Super Mario Bros. 6 really tries to help bring us back to the oldies with its somewhat overused MIDIs. But to tell you the truth, I don't even care how overused they are now. They fit with the levels they belong with. Why choose something else? It wouldn't be right.

Replay
10 / 10
I absolutely LOVE this game! I don't care if it's a demo or not in this case. I'm certainly going to be replaying this game over and over again! If the full game were to be out though, I would probably jump up and down in my chair and rapidly download/play it.

Final Words
10 / 10
Pure fangaming perfection. You have no idea what you're missing if you haven't played this masterpiece yet. Now to wait for the full game....

I don't like what's going on with the graphics.
I don't like extreme graphics clashing.

I'm sorry I'm posting on a fairly old review, Jack, but this review is a bit...how should I say...bias? I played because you clearly stated

So then I played it, and my expectations were high. I was kinda disappointed. I know a opinion is a opinion, but seriously. You're kinda rating this game too high.

I'll be writing a review about this game so I can show everyone why I didn't enjoy this as much.

"It is somewhat like the Sonic Generations of Mario fangaming"

Um...did Sonic Generations port older levels? No? OK.
