Quote (LonelySoul1107 on Apr 8 2026, 3:23 AM) Welp, looks like this isn't the full roster anymore thanks to the switch 2 version. New Dual Badges and the three Bellabel multiplayer exclusive ones aren't here thanks to that. I've updated the sheet with the new content. |

Quote (CM30 on Mar 26 2026, 10:16 AM) It looks good, though I'm a bit confused where the elephant specific frames are. Are there animations for sucking up water with your trunk or swinging it to break blocks/hit enemies? Those are at the bottom. |

Quote (CM30 on Mar 18 2026, 7:13 PM) Looking good! These definitely seem like a useful way to spice up fan games with food themed levels. Edit: Also based on some testing, it seems all of these are within SNES limitations, and would work perfectly in a Super Mario World ROM hack. So, I guess you'd be fine with anyone submitting them to SMW Central in future as well? I'd be fine with that. |

Quote (BrandonLthings on Mar 8 2025, 7:27 PM) Could you do the tilesets for the Beehive level (Hornet Hole) in world 4 (krazykremland) and the castle tileset for world 7 (K Rool Keep) from Donkey Kong Country 2 in SMB3 style (16bit) I've actually finished the hive tileset some time after finishing this one and stopped doing sprites for quite a long time n_n' I really need to get back to working on those. |

Quote (CM30 on Jun 23 2024, 1:50 PM) These seem like some neat tileset/background concepts here. Don't often see Donkey Kong Country locations in the style of a Mario game. I will say however that they could probably do with a bit more variety here. The bramble one has quite a bit of it with all the flowers and decorations, but the lack of diagonal brambles feels like a bit of a missed opportunity. And while the swamp one is cool, the number of tiles to play around with seem very low compared to the bramble one, which may make it tough to create a visually varied level using them. Maybe a few vines, barrels, slopes, etc would help there? Either way, it looks good, and the backgrounds seem like they work well. Ah, forgot about the diagonal brambles. I submitted an update with those along with additional decorations. The bayou levels don't have much tile variation, but I did miss a few additions that have now been added in the submitted update. |

Quote (karilizard36 on Oct 9 2023, 3:26 PM) I'm liking these, why not make them in the SMB1 style It doesn't interest me to do anything in that style right now. |

Quote (PROX on Jan 18 2023, 7:36 PM) ok, I really like this. It's very reminiscent of the original and the shading is really nice as well. Thanks! The greenery of the trees uses the same type of shading as the kind used in the original game. |

Quote (CM30 on May 31 2022, 6:00 PM) Awesome, I'll be very happy to see that. Maybe put the level name above each tileset too, to make it obvious what they're based on. Yep, planning to do that too |

Quote (CM30 on May 31 2022, 8:44 AM) Wow, these tiles look great! It's admittedly a tad confusing knowing which tiles correspond to each tileset (I've had to look up Super Mario 3D World levels on Mario Wiki to compare to), but they're cool nonetheless, and open the way for some super interesting levels down the line. Great job with them Shikaternia! That's true - I plan on doing a mega tileset at some point that will have everything organized much better. |

Quote (CM30 on Apr 15 2022, 11:20 AM) So you're basically gonna be covering most of the themes from 3D World at some point? Cause it'd be super interesting to see stuff like World Bowser covered in a SMB 3 style. I'm super excited for the ghost house set too. Exactly! I plan on doing every world, and will look into doing sets based on Bowser's Fury afterwards. |

Quote (CM30 on Apr 15 2022, 11:09 AM) "If I Had a Nickel... for every time someone posted a Cheese Land tileset, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice, right?" Dr Doofenshmirtz But seriously, nice job Shikaternia! It's a great tileset, and it really leaves me struggling to choose between this one and bonglorio's one overall. I think it depends on what style you want to go for. His is far more detailed and better for for an all star style. Mine is for the simpler style like in Super Mario World. |

Quote (CM30 on Apr 15 2022, 7:36 AM) Nice tilesets! It's great to see even more graphics in this style, and there definitely seems to be enough variety to make some interesting fan game and ROM hack levels with them. Definitely excited to see what you come up with for the next set too! Thanks! 😁 You can get a pretty good idea by seeing the levels in each world in Super Mario 3D World - I'm doing ones based on world 3 next, which included a snow set, the ghost house, and a train! |

Quote (PROX on Mar 28 2022, 5:38 PM) Man, seems everyone's doing a cheese land tileset now. I like the cheese pillar. I do think the small cheese triangle background objects shouldn't have a black outline in the middle of the sprite and should just be shaded instead. I think it would look a lot better and less flat. I figured I'd do one since I was doing different mario kart tracks. I agree about the cheese triangles - if I was doing smb3 style I would do more detail and no black line in the center, but with these mw style tiles I was going for the big bush from smw, which has a black line and a flat appearance. |

Quote (murphmario on Mar 10 2022, 6:49 PM) This sheet's great! The palettes need fixing though, the background seems to have more colors than it's corresponding palette. The hills themselves only use 6 colors and the clouds only use 3. I remember counting the number of colors I used on the hills and thought I had used 7, so you're not alone in thinking that xD The reason it's 6 is because the darkest part of the lighter hills and the lightest color of the darker hills are the same color. |

Quote (tarkan809 on Mar 8 2022, 1:50 PM) Wow, you came back after 8 YEARS... (not being sarcastic) Overall dang you did really good at stylizing the OG SMW hills to SNES SMB1 style tho. Lol I know xD I was working on a fourth part to the custom tile set I created years ago (based on Mario 3D World), but I would take incredibly long breaks whenever I lost interest. A couple weeks ago I stumbled upon a file of backgrounds that I was going to work on and I've been working on these now. |
