General Commentary and Game Overview
Pearls of Wisdom was, overall, just an amazing game. And the fact that it's a fan-made game makes it even more amazing.

Pros Spectacular scenery in accordance with the world designs. Nothing seemed out of place, and the levels had so much creativity and variety to them. The Bowser segments were a nice touch, the items were fun to experiment with, the minigames were fun, the bosses were creative and fun to fight, and I loved the wide cast of characters over the worlds.

Cons The wall-jumping controls were kind of hard to get the hang of. Still, very good for a fan game. Also, once when I beat Tatanga, I accidentally ran into his black-hole thing and died on my last life right as the cutscene triggered. Then, when the Sky Pop fight started, it blew up and my life count was "-1". Not really subtractive from gameplay, it just seemed kinda buggy. One last thing; I'm not saying Valkalara was anticlimactic, but she (at least I'm assuming it's a "she") was actually easier to beat that Tatanga.

Impressions
Gameplay
10 / 10
The gameplay's great. There's so much variety and creativity in the design of every level. Always a new concept, or a new way to use an old one. Pretty fair curve in difficulty. And again, creative and fun boss fights. Bosses are a very important thing to get right in games, and you most definitely got it right, no question.

Graphics
9 / 10
Pretty good, all things considered. The overworld was pretty well done, especially considering it was made from scratch. The Mario Party spaces seemed a little bit out of place, but that's really about the only thing that kinda bugged me, and even that's not a very big thing. The designs for the bosses were pretty cool. I especially liked Shadow Guy, Tatanga's altered form, and Valkalara. I noticed Tatanga's altered form looked very Haunter-ish. Putting that logic into effect, I also noticed Valkalara looked vaguely Darkrai-ish. Not a bad thing, of course. I like it, in fact.

Sound
10 / 10
Very nice variety of music, all fitting very well with the environments. My favorite tracks were the one that played in E.T. Tower, and especially the one that played in the final round with Tatanga. Was that from something, or, what now? Can anyone tell me? I am just loving that.

Replay
5 / 10
As great as this game was, sadly, I wouldn't put its replay value very high. Sorry. There are a number of levels I like to go back and replay, especially the boss levels, so the levels themselves are, in some parts, quite replayable, but replaying the game as a whole just isn't really a very appealing concept to me. Don't get me wrong; this is, in my opinion, one of the best games here. But I just can't bring myself to say otherwise about its replayability.

Final Words
9 / 10
Pearls of Wisdom is, in my opinion, perhaps the best game on this site. It's a great diversion if you're bored, and it is, overall, just fun. And that's what a great game should be. I salute and thank you for providing this game to the world.

Thanks for the review! I'm glad you liked the game. The E.T Tower music is from MegaMan 9, I think it's called 'Strange World'. I know the final battle song is called 'Meridian Dance' for sure, but I can' t remember where it's from.
