READ THE HEALTH AND SAFETY WARNING BEFORE PLAYING This game was created for a Minigame competition(which it won), and is very short because of that. The "story" if you can call it that is that Mario has just finished his New Super Mario Bros. adventure, and has went to sleep. This is his dream. Features include a full internally stored MP3 soundtrack, graphics ripped from the New Super Mario Bros website, wall jumping, and a good platform movement, if I say so myself.

Mario Gamer	Melatonin by definition is a hormone derived from serotonin and produced by the pineal gland that stimulates color change in the epidermis of amphibians and reptiles and plays a role in sleep, aging, and reproduction in mammals. In other words, it's something you don't need or should care about. Just like this game. How this won a mini-game compo I shall never know...	4 / 10
Kyli the hedgehog	There was NOTHING good about this game. Exept a FEW sprites and the first level's background. The scream at the end almost made me deaf!	1 / 10

Qustions: Why did they butcher the ending for the part you go to the castle? Why do they make Maetroid enemies have a cigarert? Wht did Mario scream so freaking loud?

Read the author's comment at the bottom of NintenDom's review, it will tell you why. MFGG the site, and MFGG the forums, are two very different, largely disjoint groups of people, and as such, catering to one group may have no effect on, or even alienate the other group.

I personally don't find the game all that funny. Not to say it isn't well made. It's certainly better made than a lot of other games on this site.

This is simply the Mario eqiverlant to "Sonic: The search for Knuckles" on SFGHQ. It's not focused on being a genuine Mario fangame, but just there to put the characters in a completely random situation that makes little sense, but is still fun. The theme of the minigame competition that this game was entered in was "Dreams", hence the scream and the randomness. Not everyone dreams of perfect SMB3 clones.

- Now re-edited - You're absolutely right. I honestly don't know what came over me. Alright, so the game is a bit too detailed to be a mini-game, which is fairly just a simple game to get from Point A to Point B or complete an objective. Melatonin has coins to collect, which all need to be collected for a password, and, yeah, you get the point. Also, the game plays fairly solid, but all these "perks" such as the inverted colors, lessened the gameplay. So, there's my $0.02. And I'm sorry for the outburst.

Kaper, you do know that what you said made no God-damn sense, right? Some minigame comp games are pretty long. And, also all you did was say that it sucks, twice, without a reason. So, if you have nothing nice to say about it, the least you could do is provide a LEGIT reason and, also, shut up.
