Did you have your volume turned up enough? There was indeed outdoor ambience playing during the game.

Oh, sorry. Probably not :P. I will play it with louder volume and update this review. That you for pointing that out!

Nice! But isn't the car supposed to be purple? Either way it's pretty neat looking, except the throwing pose for Bowser looks a little bit... unnatural. I don't really know how else to explain it. I guess it looks a little bit too stiff.

Pretty neat! Good job :)

bad game too hard...

Just because a game is hard doesn't necessarily make it bad...

What? These is Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Mario Kart Wii voices of Peach (or at least, most of them are), not Mario Party 9. :p

No... these are Mario Party 9... some of them are similar to the SSB and MK sounds, though, but I recognize them all from the game.

I did enjoy the humor and real-life references, as well as the beautiful graphics (I was not able to hear the sound due to PC issues, but from the comments I understand that there were some neat sound effects in there), but the endings (both endings) weren't all that satisfactory... if you can tell what I mean. It just left me with a dull felling, even when I decided to keep Luigi alive.
Edit: I just fixed my speakers, and yes, the sound nice.

I see potential, as this is a great attempt at a Luigi's Mansion game. You can see the effort in this game with the environment and content.

Yeah, there is potential, which is a very good thing. This game isn't awful, but, to tell you the truth, it really isn't close to the best game on MFGG (but it definitely isn't close to the worst...). The gameplay isn't really anything great and the graphics aren't really appealing at all(and just because they are custom doesn't mean they are good, even though it does show effort).

A little suggestion to the author: I think if the you joined the forums so we could help you out a bit, this game could be really good (considering the effort put into it).

No you are the one I was quoting. You said the wooden planks weren't shaded properly.

This is off topic, but "bursting your bubble" would make sense if, for example, I was very happy about a rumor I heard, but it turns out the rumor was false. That doesn't really apply at all to what I was saying.
But... this is off topic.

You clearly don't get what I was trying to say. I know what pillow shading is and why it ruins sprites. Had I not known, don't you think I would have asked? I was just saying that in THIS case, the pillow shading works IN SOME SPOTS, because to me, Mama's cloak, Papa's pants, and Lina's...hat...thing... look as if they are made of silk. It does NOT work in ALL spots, and therefore the sheet as a whole is subpar.

Well, whether or not you guys accept my opinion, just re-shade them yourself before using them, as I clearly stated before. There are very few sprites here, is it REALLY that hard to fix/edit?

But... how could it be okay, even in some spots, for there to be no light source? That really makes no sense. And saying "re-shade them yourself" is just really stupid. That's like someone submitting a completely horrible sheet and saying "fix the flaws yourself!". It really makes no sense. The author should fix the flaws in his own sheet no matter how small the sheet is, not us.

@MARIOFANATIC64:
Assuming you quoted the wrong comment? Not my bubble you're bursting =P
While I do think the wood looks fine, this sheet still has many problems. Especially the subcon tileset which contains a clashing outline (and you shouldn't have put it in here if it is a WIP without saying it is a WIP. How would I have known?). Anyway, the subcon looks completely out of style, and the pumpkin is just downright awful. Not to mention most things appear to be minor edits.

Not trying to scare you away from here or keep you from ever submitting again, I'm just trying to help out a bit. :)

They are very pillow shaded, but other than that they seem alright. The shading is horrible, though, and needs fixing.

Yes, he can. The pumpkins are a mess. There's a bunch of white pixels on the outside. The wooden planks in the underground screenshot lack shading compared to the other objects in the scene. And the blocks shading just looks really off. The Subcon tiles also don't look very good. Mostly the pot, which still has an outline around it for whatever reason. I'm not trying to sound mean, I'm just saying these do need a lot of work.
EDIT: Actually, all the subcon tiles have an outline. They really shouldn't if you want them to look NSMB styled.

This is very nice! But like I said before, if you want to get more accurate, you should change the bangs. But the sprites are quite small, so it's hardly noticeable. Well done ;)

I don't really understand kremling's comment. :l

And, I tried to give it a cave-feeling. :P

That means to get the darks darker and/or the lights lighter so the shades are more visible. We can barely see the shading because the shades are all too similar.
