General Commentary and Game Overview
I have to admit, this game is presented really well. A simple story to a simple game. Makes sense. However, this game practices something most games shouldn't: simple gameplay, punishing difficulty.

Pros -good presentation
-pretty good engine

Cons -aggravating difficulty
-one square-high openings make for cheap difficulty

Impressions
Gameplay
5 / 10
The gameplay is pretty simple: play as a Koopa and use your shell to defeat your enemies and make it to the end of the game. With the help of a good engine, this game seems playable, until you try getting through the level.

The first thing I noticed with this game was the use of the one square-high openings. The only thing in a Mario fan game that should be the size of a single square is the question block. Less skilled players could spends quite a lot of time just trying to get through this first obstacle. The game uses this challenge again later on in the game, so expect to get this down quickly.

Probably the biggest flaw in this game is that you only have one chance to get through the whole game. No lives at all. Running into a Goomba can also end the game for you instantly. Without a lives system, it can make the game seem really frustrating.

I will admit that the use of the upgradeable shells was pretty good. The only shell I didn't really care for was the yellow shell. It's useful for getting down a layer of bricks, but its speed could easily send you off a cliff if you're not careful.

Graphics
8 / 10
I will say that I was impressed with the way the game was presented. All the sprites and backgrounds were from the same games, and that's something some gamers forget to do. Plus, the font's in the game were different than the fonts that most games are.

Sound
7 / 10
The sound effects for this game were pretty good. They were all from SMB3, which is good because that's where the sprites came from.
The music was pretty okay. I'm glad that the person didn't pick the overused SMB theme. Although I would've like to hear some more variety in the music.

Replay
4 / 10
Considering that it's really easy to die, you'll be forced to start over and play it again. However, whether you'll have the patience to start over every time you die is something I can't decide. I know I wouldn't have the patience.

Final Words
6 / 10
This game's presented nicely, easy to learn, but will punish you with it's harsh difficulty.
