I don't get the issue with it. Piranha Plants are simple characters to draw. It's not his fault. Though one could go the lengths to toss in more animations than Nintendo did, I can't see the harm in following their footsteps.

Lack of shading is another story. But it's not that noticeable to me here. Nice sprite I say, Bowser#!

The sprite's not absolutely horrendous, no. But each goomba was just copy/pasted with a little effort editing various hats on and poor resizing. King Goomba looks best, I must say. But if you're going to copy/paste the basic shape for an animation or various forms of the same enemy, at least draw a clean outline for it first. For instance, you cut your goomba in half and the left and right sides don't match. It just looks sloppy. Especially since there's little to drawing a goomba to begin with.

I would suggest scrapping it and starting fresh because the level design in this game is horrid. There is no enemy threat (at least in the first level), a lot of elements are misplaced throughout the level (for instance, the beginning of the level had water and then for little or no reason lava instead)... there's just a lot of things wrong here. It was just slopped together for the sake of releasing a demo.

And he is too skinny. You're going to have to accept that. Whether or not you fix the problem is completely up to you. But you don't submit a resource expecting people to use it when you're not even taking their opinions into consideration.

Something Dying is the sound when Yoshi's transformation time runs out and he hasn't hit a Yoshi Block. While Yoshi warps back to where the transformation bubble was, that sound loops.
Some Enemy is the sound when you bounce on that pink bubbly thing (there's a minigame full of them, can't remember the name).

The naming is of limited importance, I'm wagering.

Personally it's not the blood that bothers me but the gun. Like Shadow the Hedgehog did with Sonic, it destroys the Mario formula.

But this is a fan game so it's a pretty big difference.

The pipes don't look like pipes. They look more like lusterless blocks. You need some form of shading on those at least.
