Overall, not a bad sheet. My constructive criticism is as follows: • Small Mario's shoe's soles are cut off. This is visible even in the thumbnail. • All of the crouch sprites, excluding Hammer Mario's seem to just be Mario covering his head with the upper body cut off. The Hammer Mario crouch honestly doesn't really have many problems, as that's very similar to how it appears in Super Mario Bros. 3 and its remake. • The forward-facing and backward-facing sprites (they can both be seen in Super Mario's 12th and 13th sprites, respectively) excluding Small Mario's seem to have Mario's body depicted as a near-perfect oval with no leg gap and the shoes seem to be just barely connected to said body. Besides that, this simplistic, highly colorfully saturated sheet seems to be alright. EDIT: I could be very mistaken, are these supposed to be 100% accurate to the original sprites these are based off of?

From a skim-through, every tile looks better than the original. Fantastic job. I personally would stick to the 3 Color Rule because this looks more 8-bit anyway and not all of these tiles have the same amount of colors (? Blocks have 3, but Brick Blocks have 4, for example), but overall this sheet is excellent and it seems pretty easy to edit that out anyway.

I never really have time to go on this site anymore (only for now, I will fully return eventually) unfortunately but I occasionally look around to see if anything's happening. This is a solid sheet overall, good job. Really just three of the only things I would change is maybe having the Racoon Mario's ears just a bit smaller and maybe like 1 pixel farther back on his head. I'd personally remove the extra black pixels on his tail (idle pose is an example of that) and also make his tail stripes more accurate by making the stripes directly vertical rather than going diagonal. (Tenth Racoon Mario sprite.) Overall, respectable job. I'd like to see a Mini Mario/Mega Mario addition to the sheet, or maybe a modern-styled Fire Mario.

Yes, it's a very important thing to not break the 3 color rule. Thankfully you didn't use primary red for the inside of the mouth but you used white and black which would literally be impossible to use for the original Super Mario Bros. I'm not denying that that's a major limitation but I don't know how they will be particularly useful for a fangame unless it's a joke game or the like. In all honesty, this is a pretty amusing game. Even considering this is a joke game, if characters didn’t have infinites it could be played competitively, although stupendously degenerate. Also, here’s the entire metagame: Manga Man. Surpasses Pikachu from Smash 64, Fox from Melee, Meta Knight from Brawl, and Bayonetta in Smash 4, all combined. X Tier: Manga Man Down B is an infinite starting around 50% on all characters if spammed correctly. Can also be used as a kill confirm. Aside from having by far and very clearly the best move in the game, he also has great combos and reliable kill options even outside his Down B kill confirms. I was thinking of making a full tier list of the game but it’s too much hard work for right now. Might get around to it though. In complete honesty excluding Manga Man the game is, very surprisingly, decently balanced. I’d say the worst character in the game is either Bepis (Pepsiman) or Edward, due to their clear weaknesses such as having nearly no kill options at all. Good game though. I don’t personally celebrate or participate in April Fool’s, so therefore, this comment is real. I try to find competitive value in all games, lol.
