General Commentary and Game Overview

So this is supposed to be a remake of Super Mario Bros Special. huh. Few people remake this.

Pros	+ Second/First person to remake this game (the other one is Exploding Rabbit in the Super Mario Bros Crossover 3.0) + New Graphics + Kewl Sound Effects :3
Cons	? Suggestion: change the camera view to one that looks like SMB:S' one (I included it in my edited DE7.1) - Musics (a bit) - No new coded stuff, just the same objects. - It is a remake and might get boring after a while

Impressions

Gameplay 8 / 10	The gameplay is DragezeeY Engine, the best Mario engine for Game Maker period, but not edited as it should, so it's a DeeY Clone. And also, you forgot to take out the Debug key.
Graphics 6 / 10	The graphics are SMB3 as everything. But you added some new backgrounds & stuff, this is an overused style but I still like it, but yet - make custom GFX or get them from here.
Sound 7 / 10	Those new sounds are cool, and make the game feel unique somehow, in terms of sounds, they aren't the same overused sounds of always. But I only found 2 sound effects like that (until now), the Star coins and the Powerup. The music is custom, that's good, but some are not really good.
Replay 4 / 10	I don't usually replay remakes, but as I didn't play SMB Special much, It won't be so fun to play it.

Final Words

I never played SMB Special so much. But I bet if SMB Special gets overplayed so we all can know the level layouts by heart, it will get boring, and no one will want to play a remake just like the people who remake SMB1.

Actually, there's a hack of SMB1 that basically turns it into SMB Special. So superstar is...the third? To "remake" this?

Yeah, I saw that hack too. One thing that nobody ever remade (except nintendo) is SMB2 and SMB3...
