Don't mean to sound rude if it isn't but.... is this an April Fools game? It's just that you really don't have to do much of anything since the ball bounces on its own.... :P

No, it's one of a project that I was really putting effort on it, and also the paddle is useful yes, and not useless, I already thought of you guys saying about that like "that is not a game, it's just an interactive screensaver of a bouncing ball" But you really can change way of some levels with the paddle.

Now for real, I said in the notes if you wanted me to change the ball physics, so you could comment it.

I played it. I was SO close to liking it.

You see - The main problem I have with the game is that success feels determined on luck more than anything else. You can only do so much as the paddle, and while the ball is being flung around, it is open to danger (In this case, red Bullet Bills and pits), and the paddle cannot do anything about it.

What's your idea then?

Some unique powerups would be nice. It might also help to tweak the physics so the ball bounces off the paddle depending on what direction the player is facing.

Pretty much whatever helps add more input into the outcome of the ball's actions.

Nice, maybe a powerup that makes the ball fast, or make mario able to jump, maybe even a powerup for mario, so the ball an face any direction.

But okay, I'm going to do something like that

BTW Only what I need is a story.

Why do you need a story on a BREAKOUT GAME, of all things? You should focus more on improving these physics to be a lot more, well, fun.

Like a player select, perhaps?

It could be like Mario Tennis, that also doesn't have story.

Player select doesn't improve physics. What he means is to fix/tweak several mechanics within the game to make it feel more lively.

I for one liked this game 70% of it. I loved some of the new gameplay features in between and how they made the variation nice. However, everything else kind of ruined my experience with the game and i had to use debug mode once for this level that i can't get past 5 times in a row because of the hazards and too many open holes.

I'll probably review it when i get the chance. It's not the best i have played but it did give me something to enjoy at least.
