I've downloaded most (if not all) of the pre-2006 Game Maker games on this site, and seeing this game reminds me of them, which I assume is your intention. If so, you did a great job! It's funny that the background is just GM's default background color!

Really short, but it gets you playing for a few times thanks to the multiple endings. I think I was only able to get four or five of them.

I do see what you mean, Resident Prime. MFGG was full of the strange, unique, and charming. Even games like Mario Looses His Hat and Mario's Rescue are more unique than a SMB3 clone. I think a lot of people might have the same thought as well -- 2019 got a lot of weird games that hearken back to the old days of MFGG, even outside of the Ye Olde game jam.

This is an interesting game. I like that you just run around these worlds and collect stuff by playing minigames, although the worlds could've been bigger and reward exploration more. I finished the game as Sonic, and the ending was surprising. I wonder what happens if you get the last star as a member of the nWo...

That's gotta be the funniest ending I've ever seen in a fangame -- I actually laughed! My dad laughed as well. I can't seem to unlock the alternate paths, though. One door will open, but the other never opens. According to the description, I guess I just have to eat everything I see?

(Also, it's surprising that even at least 16 years after this game came out, there's only one review and no comments until now. The commenting system was even introduced about 13 and a half years ago!)

I've played this a few times, and it takes me back to the good old days. I like that there are multiple paths to take. Though, that one ending you get when you only take the portals is rather risque; that's probably the weirdest ending I've ever seen in a fangame.

I really enjoyed the dialogue! The scenarios were also funny, like that one time where you have to get all the cats out of someone's house!

Also, this might be the first time I've ever seen my username in the credits of a project that I didn't make. Really appreciate the cameo! :)

One thing to keep in mind when making games is that if you're the creator, you know everything about it. You know what's going to happen, what's the best strategy, what secrets are there, etc. Because of this, the game can be really easy to you, but difficult for those who have no experience beforehand. Try putting yourself into the shoes of someone who's about to play your game for the first time, and see how that feels. Getting people to test your game works really well!

Also, in case you didn't notice, I have given this game a review. I've provided some more suggestions over there. :)

It took me many, many tries, but I FINALLY beaten it! And boy, this game is super hard -- it's probably the hardest one I've been able to beat in this site. I may not have done it if it weren't for a hidden password. There's actually quite a few passwords that the game never gives you.

I tried to play this, but it crashes in the first level. It happens while I'm burning the grass, it seems. I wonder if it might also have something to do with the Thwomp that shoots lasers. I tried various options in compatibility mode, but none of them worked. Does anyone know a way to get around this problem?

I was playing again, and I just found a major bug in Flaming Forest Frenzy -- whenever you get hit in the first section, the screen goes black for a bit. I fell into a pit in that same part, and the game froze with everything black except for the HUD and wouldn't respond, so I had to use the Task Manager (and boy, it sure took a while for the game to close). I'm using Windows 7, by the way.

Very neat! I like that you included some of the different iterations of Bowser throughout Mario's gaming history! I'm looking forward to Meowser and wedding Bowser getting finished, considering that I haven't seen any custom sprite sheets for them at all. Do you have any plans for Sunshine or Luigi's Mansion, by any chance? It'd be cool to see those! :)

Woo! SMB2! Some of the characters in there just don't get much attention these days, so it's nice to see you give them love! It looks as great as usual, Omega! Also, did you make that Bugzzy sprite? It looks nice; I'd love to see a full sprite sheet of that! :)

Very cool! It reminds me of the cheese land track from Mario Kart: Super Circuit.

Is it required for one to have an account on a part of MFGG in order to vote for the awards? Just wondering.

Anyway, thank you to all that nominated Beat: The Game, Quillax's Experiment, and my skills! I was very happy to see nominations for my work! :)

Huh, I've never heard of a game that can only run on a 4:3 monitor. I haven't tried this out yet, but do you know why is that the case? What happens if someone attempts to run it on a 16:9 monitor?

Hm, this reminds me of the Piranha Plant minigame that Friendly Dictator made years ago. Downloading right now.

EDIT: Played this a few times. It's fun for a bit and I do like the graphics and audio, but it eventually gets too overwhelming, when there's so much going on the screen. I think it might be better if the Piranha Plant can eat more than one thing, as I've had Koopa Paratroopas and Ninjis get in the way when I was trying to get a Goomba or Spiny egg, which would soon enter the pipe and make me lose a life.

I'm surprised this got accepted, seeing that this was uploaded in 2011, when DKC submissions weren't allowed. I'm glad this got accepted, though, it looks good!

Ah, so this must be where those viruses in the 3/10 image came from! Good rip!
