Regarding the sequel, would removing the music bring the file size down to the point where it can be submitted to MFGG? I've seen a few games here that have the music left out by default in order to fit within the size limit (since music usually takes up so much space), with an external download link to such music in the description.

Just decided to look at my very first review, and gosh, it feels like I've been hit by nostalgia as if it was a Bullet Bill! I'll never forget about my early days on this site!

That's good to hear! So, when the update gets accepted, is it possible to overwrite the files with the updated ones without any save data corruptions? Just want to make sure. By the way, I noticed a minor mistake in one of the sprites earlier, but forgot about it until now -- when Mario is falling while using the Piranha Plant power-up, his left hand is missing a glove!

(Also, I was somehow able to give your comment two likes! When I unliked and then liked it again, it only did it once.)

This is really cool! I like how it's an edit from SMW and YI, yet it edits so much that it looks totally new! Great job!

At first I thought this is an edit, but it appears to be a rip. Since when could Luigi be played in Mario Teaches Typing? Is this the first or second one? Good rip, by the way, these sprites are pretty amusing!

Sweet -- it's finally out! I've been really looking forward to this! I'm downloading it right now! By the way, I really like the story -- it's very clever!

EDIT: I played this game tonight! I did all of the D-Tier levels and two C-Tier levels (I figured that I should start with the worst and save the best for last), and completed all but one. I do want to point out a couple game-breaking bugs I received, however. While I was playing the second level in the C-Tier level (which I haven't beaten yet), I got this error:

Quote

############################################################################################
FATAL ERROR in

for object obj_physicsparent:

REAL argument is unset
############################################################################################

called from - gml_Object_obj_physicsparent_Collision_237 (line 7)

I was just hitting ? Blocks while I was above one of those horizontal Thwomps. Also, in level 2 of the D-Tier level section, I once grabbed a mushroom and the game froze, including the music.

Aside from those glitches, this is pretty enjoyable! I think dividing the levels into tiers is a nice idea -- you can see what makes the bad levels bad and the good levels good. The judge comments are especially helpful for that! The way the D-Tier and C-Tier map screens are done are pleasant surprises! My only complaint here is that the effects, while cool, greatly slow down my computer (Windows 7, if you're wondering), which gets irritating when you die in a level a lot. Maybe add an option to tone down the effects for less-powerful computers? The rest of the game runs VERY smoothly, especially when running in full-screen!

Will play more later on! :)

EDIT 2: Played even more this night! I beaten the rest of the C-Tier levels and some of the B-Tier levels! In level 3 of the B-Tier section (Rooftop Regime), I went through a warp pipe and the game gave me an "Out of memory!" error and then froze. This was after I died in that level a few times. I've also noticed some glitches that are minor, but annoying. That includes falling through those donut platforms that are on rails and getting hurt from stomping on enemies that aren't spiky.

So, I played this game with a sibling, and oh my gosh! We were laughing so much and having lots of fun! We played for quite a while. I wasn't expecting any of this! Man, I wish people would make more multiplayer games -- those kind of games can be some of the most fun!

I looked through all of this game's levels. I might have to try this with someone before I can really form an opinion about this game. I like how Mario and Luigi each have a Pirahna Plant, who is colored like their respective brother, on their respective side in the title screen. Maybe the red one eats Marios, and the green one eats Luigis!

I'm surprised that nobody said "WAT IZ GRAVITY MAN DOING DERE!!!!!?????" or something like that, given that this game was available during the time when many immature commenters roamed on this site.

this is a cool game but what keys make luigi jump and throw hammer bros.

0 jumps and . attacks. You can only use those keys on the numpad, which isn't on laptops. You can change the controls in this game, however. Hit Ctrl+Y to access the key configuration menu. All of this applies to the second game as well (minus the attack button).

(I don't know if this guy still visits this site, but I figured that I should answer in case anyone else is having difficulties finding the keys.)

EDIT: Played this with my sibling for a bit. We only did all of the arenas and one coin race. The arena fights aren't as good as they are in the second game (it's mostly about button mashing here), but they're still kinda fun. The coin race was also fun, and we made an interesting discovery -- when my sibling fell into the lava pit in Pipe Maze 1, we were somehow transported into a place made out of pipes, with Toad Man music playing.

I found the secret level quite a while ago -- the boss is kinda amusing, although the Spinies were annoying from what I remember. Also, now that I think about it, is this the only fangame where Smithy appears, let alone as a playable character?

This is a cute program! It may not replace the original Mario Paint, but it's a fun little substitute for those who don't have the game. I made quite a few drawings with this program. It is, however, annoying that there's no undo button, along with how the program is active even if you're doing something else like saving an image.

At first I thought the thumbnail tricked me because I only saw sprites from the first level, but then I found out that there's more and... wow, I'm just blown away! There's so much stuff here, massive is indeed the right word to use to describe this lib! :O

This looks a lot like that one enemy from Abducted Toad, the one that sticks to the ceiling and drops bombs when you're nearby. Perhaps the creator was inspired by that enemy?

Great sprite sheet, by the way! It's nice when people give obscure characters love!

Okay, so I found out a while ago that it didn't actually delete itself and the folder it was in. The folder is in the fangames folder, which is weird, as I could've sworn that it was just in my C drive (or was it?).

At least I was wrong about the whole virus thing! (And thank goodness, as I have some cool stuff in that folder!)

I remember when the thumbnail animated. I understand why it had to be frozen, though.

Anyway, these are good sprites! Paper Mario sprites are always cool to see. :)

Donkey Kong looks like he is in a stage between Donkey Kong Jr. and the Donkey Kong we know today!

There's some funny sprites in the Wario and Waluigi sprite sheets! That Mario face is really cute, by the way!

I found myself playing this game rather often, probably because of that awesome remix! My highest score so far is 61!

Also, I just noticed that Crazee Dayzee is mispelled as Crazee Dazee here, in the title and description. At in-game, it's just DayZee!

I've been playing this game lately, and the furthest I've ever gotten is the desert level, when I screwed up one jump from a spring. I beaten "Coopa" the Quick at his race -- twice actually. You just can't really make any mistakes in that race. The level where you get to use a Hammer Suit was confusing at one point, until I discovered that you can walk on the green hills on the water, which really looked more like background to me.

I played this game a while ago, and I liked it! The gameplay is mostly repetitive and can be tedious (especially in the Mobius level), but the funny crossover and cutscenes keep me playing all the way to the end! My favorite parts were exploring Mario's stash of stuff and that moment when all of Mario's enemies fought against him, only for all to get defeated in just one hit each. The latter part is actually rather ironic, since I find that his enemies have better shooting than Mario. I guess that's what happens when your movement is simply just the bouncing ball movement rather than the eight-directional one! XD

(Also, since a couple here have asked for passwords, I figured that I should post a link to the password list on Bowser Tech: https://mfgg.net/bowsertech/password.htm)

I've played this a few times, and it's really fun! For a game made with Klik 'n Play, it is very well-made! I was looking at the insides of the game through The Games Factory (since it's unprotected), and my mind was blown! I never knew that Toni was such a genius at using this tool!

My biggest problem with this game is that a error message will sometimes appear without warning, which really sucks. :( It's still fun, though! :)
