Carrot_64 The game is one another game that's one of the best on the site, this is a MUST PLAY on MFGG. 9 / 10
gengarmaster Overall the game's fantastic, it's just that Langton didn't have much ideas or new enemies on hand. 7 / 10

steffire A must-play tribute to the Super Mario Bros. Genre... Better than some official games. 9 / 10
afanguy Overall, this game is awesome. If you loved the classic Mario games, this game is definitly at least worth a try. The gameplay feels great, the graphics are appealing to the eye, the sound is awesome and there's a ton of stuff to do. It might be hard at times, but the game is worth playing. 10 / 10
Dim_Yimma_H This is better than Super Mario Bros 3 by Nintendo. 9 / 10
phoenixfirebird Overall, this is one of the best games on MFGG. I hope a member of Nintendo sees this awesome game, and recommends to own this game, ha ha. 10 / 10
Astrakitu LangtonLion64 puts his talent to the next level as he does a Drag Engine 7-based game with excellent graphics, sound, and design. Great job! Keep going until you succeed! 9 / 10
fahyda to summarise this is a great fan game I will most likely play over and over again. I recommend playing at least 1 world. don't only take my word for it, play for yourself. 9 / 10
Syaxamaphone I was delightfully surprised to see that underneath the poor art decisions and somewhat generic title "dimensions", was a commendable Mario platformer with a very well thought out mechanic. 7 / 10
RaymanFan1995 A fantastic game and sequel to my favorite Mario game of all time, and one of my favorite games in general. This is, without a doubt, well worth your time. Take a bow, Mr. LangtonLion64! 9 / 10
SuperMuppet Super Mario Bros. Dimensions is a prime example of what an engine-based game should be like, with a fun gimmick, unique storyline, and terrific level design. 8 / 10
Q-Nova Play this, I don't care if you don't like 8-bit or not, just try this out. 9 / 10
Qwerty Triple6 Is this an actual Nintendo game? *checks* OH, it isn't. I'm sorry, this game is so amazing and original and nearly perfect in every way it seems like it really should be. My apologies. 10 / 10
buildz This is almost a Nintendo game. I couldn't tell the difference. Well executed, and actually deserving of the elusive 10/10. 10 / 10

Beta elements:

* The game originally to be called "Super Mario Bros. 4", but the game got renamed to "Super Mario Bros. Dimensions" in the final version.
* The bosses every world has Koopalings, The bosses got replaced with custom boss rushes like a case of NSMBDS in the final.

Needs more beta elements that unused.

You can't really just add in beta elements after the game is done... Whatever is unused is unused, and whatever is not unused is, well, not unused.

This game has won February 2015 GoTM. If I have some time, I'll download it, then after that, I'll make a review soon. Sounds interesting, though, because he took Drag Engine 7 (Gatete's open source engine) to the next level.

Stating the obvious seems to be a trend for asdfghjk. His comment in the update with Spoopy Mayro, for instance:

And in one recent submission of his (apparently submissions still on the queue can be accessed from the user's profile):

Actually, I wasn't annoying him. I do not tolerate comments that break the rules on MFGG.

APRIL 7: Played the game, and I was like - WHOA, THIS GAME IS TOTALLY FRIGGIN AWESOME! I submitted a review.

Aren't those reviews kind of exaggerating? This game does not look like an official Nintendo game; Nintendo wouldn't make a game like this in no possible way. It's really something I would expect from a fangame. I'm not saying the game is bad, you did a great work there! But the level design could receive a little more effort.

First coin: In the area outside of the pyramid, there is a "ladder" of hidden blocks above one of the steps. The coin is high up in the level.

Second coin: Hidden behind a wall in the section near the pipe that shoots you up, on the left of the pipe.

Third coin: Hidden behind another structure near where the green key is (but in the normal dimension instead of the alternate). Note that this coin is only in version 1.1; I forgot to add it in earlier releases.

EDIT:5-Enemy Glitch:
In 2nd Section I've beaten all the enemies that still not open the door
EDIT2:8-2 Glitch:
I carried a green key to the pipe that has burned by lava that can't beat the game normally
EDIT3:6-Mansion Glitch:
On the phase 2 of the boss,I defeat the boo boss that has instant killed

2-1 glitch: I switched to the alternate dimension before entering a pipe (which was blocked in the normal dimension) and I got a star coin. After exiting out, I switched back to the normal dimension (with me close to the pipe's entrance), and I ended up falling through the ground. Weird!

EDIT: Was playing the February 22 version of the game and I experienced this glitch once. The Anti-Dimension switching barrier is missing for the entrance of the pipe.

The pipe that I entered is located in the second part of the level which has the sign telling me to switch dimensions to progress.

It's been a while since I played this game, but if you press Right at World 7-Secret on the map screen, Mario will begin moving endlessly. It seems that one of the map-blocker objects is missing.

(I'm still playing the February 22 version, so if you've already fixed this problem, please ignore this.)

Played and somewhat beat World 1, didn't nearly get enough Star Coins or secrets yet, but so far I'm surprised at how fun the game is! Dimension swapping is more than simply "go to this wall, oh no, switch dimensions" and I've noticed at least in World 1 that level design likes to hint at where switching might result in something, without being too obvious or obscure.

HOWEVER, there's one single issue that's causing me a great deal of pain. At least when using the ZXC keys, when you switch dimensions while holding the run button, Mario won't be running anymore, meaning you need to let go and press the button again. This ranges from just bothersome to rather annoying when dealing with carrying keys and the like between dimensions. Mario keeps hold of the key, but won't run till you let go of the object and hold the button down again. That, and I've managed to get "glued" to the ground once or twice, switching dimensions fixes that, and once or twice I've had the "can't switch, you'll die!" X markers not pop up in a moment that dropped me in a pit, despite other areas using them like that.

Still, besides that, really liking the game! When I get around to beating it, I hope to give it a nice meaty review!

That is a bug, I'm afraid. I'm assuming you have version 1.0.1.0. If so then redownload from this page to get the newer version 1.0.2.0 which fixes the problem. Sorry about that.

In the section with the rising / descending platforms (after the section with the three pipes), try jumping over the structure on the left that appears to be blocked off.

Beating World 2-Pyramid requires a lot of dimension-switching in the right places in order to progress. In both of the two main sections, you will find coloured keys that you need to take to the same door that you came through at the start of the section, and then place them in the respective locked gates. There is also a boss battle, which requires you to use springs to launch bricks at the boss.

In short: find the keys, unlock the gates.

Anyone know how to find the second dark world star coin in 1-Secret (super Mario bros 3 1-1 remake) for I looked everywhere for it and can't find it. I assume it has something to do with the hidden p-switch I found.

Try investigating the long pipe near the end of the level. Also try "rubbing" Mario against the side of it.

Man I was looking at the downloads count of SMB Dimensions couple months ago and it was around 5000 and, I was gonna say congrats for exceeding the number of downloads of Toadette Strikes recently made by the site founder. But now Dimensions is over 20000 downloads! Lots of people outside MFGG play the game evidently! Which means Mors is becoming one famous side char! (in this game)

It's in a secret room, which requires the use of a Warp Pipe to access. The Warp Pipe is close to the end of the level, and is aimed downwards. You may need a Jetpack to reach it.

World 2-Enemy should be unlocked right after completing 2-Pyramid. Did you mean 2-Secret? The secret exit leading to that is in 2-2. You need to backtrack through the level in order to bring the blue key to the keyhole, in the second area.

I feel stupid now. I should have went up past the pyramid to check if it was a level instead of just assume it was a warp pipe to leave the world. Speaking of the Pyramid while I have found all the star coins I can't seem to figure out how to get to the second dark world coin even though I found the fake wall it seems to be blocked by something. I tried lasering it, bombing it, using the yellow, red, and green keys on it, and even koopa shelling it but nothing seems to work.

As soon as you enter the first section with the green(?) key, there is a hidden block to your left, next to the wall. Jump on top of the block, and then over the ceiling. A bit of a cheekily-hidden secret, to be honest.

6-Secret is unlocked when you find the secret exit of 6-Mansion. This is the only instance of a boss level having a secret exit. There is a key hidden behind scenery, which you then need to take to the keyhole.
