General Commentary and Game Overview
Paper Mario World is often considered one of MFGG's worst Mario games due to the sloppiness of the game. I don't know WHY I decided to play it, but I did...and...yeah, it's bad, but...I actually enjoyed it...so good on that.

LETS-A-GO!!

Pros +I actually enjoyed it
+It can make you laugh
+It's actually kind of fun at points for me
+At least you have health...unlike some nasty sequel to this game I know...

Cons -Severe graphics clashing
-The partners key mapping is odd
-The kart levels are near impossible, but I managed
-Why have to start over when you die unless you have a password?
-GOD, DJ YOSHIMAN'S VOICE ACTING IS AWFUL
-The final final boss is too hard for the wrong reasons (the 2 finals were intentional)
-Some backgrounds are white, and music doesn't play on some levels
-WHY THE SHIFT-CTRL CONTROL SCHEME?!?!?!

Gameplay

Yea, ye start le game and as soon as ye know it, a MFGG Exclusive Fangame screen comes up!

Some find this screen to be VERY insulting to MFGG due to it being in this game.

Then the game starts. Of course, there are training levels, but who cares about those! The game starts by doing the same typical SMRPG plot crap; Mario goes to Bowser's Keep to save Peach, Mario almost succeeds, until Smithy took over the castle, and Mario, Peach and Bowser fly in different directions somehow!

Yeah. Now for the game's control!
Some would say...it's crap. And it kinda is. This game WAS made with Multimedia Fusion, and everyone knows how the default platformer engine in MMF is; Mario's control is really stiff like GM's platform tutorial, but the jumping isn't as floaty.

If you press CTRL, Mario can actually shoot a very non-Mario fireball. Still better than having no attack, at least.

Also, Kirby is in this game! He's playable too, but his controls are pretty similar to Mario. Heck, he can't even do his trademark moves, like floating or inhaling enemies.

And when I got to the Very Hot Desert chapter I thought I couldn't beat the game because of the kart section. So...I was stuck. Until one day I came back to it and I was, by some miracle, able to progress. Well, if "miracle" means "get further in this bad game" for you. So what made the kart section so hard? The control. I'm not sure how I can explain it. It's a mess, sometimes Mario goes diagonally when I'm just pressing one arrow key, and I have to manually STOP the kart. I'm not even kidding, if you want the kart to stop, press the arrow key in the opposite direction you are going. Wow, who knew stopping took effort! I'm not even being sarcastic, it takes effort to stop. You stopped in a kart? F for Effort! To make matters worse, if Mario drives and is RIGHT NEXT to a collideable object, he'll slowly lose lots of health! WHAT?! These are reasons that made that section so hard.

Then there is also the final boss. GOD. The final boss is so hard, it makes Paper Mario 3D Land look like a cakewalk! "Hold it! Why don't we battle in the air?" WHY DO WE HAVE TO FIGHT IN THE AIR, SMITHY?! WHAT, DOES IT HAVE TO DO WITH THE FACT THAT DOING IT IS NEAR IMPOSSIBLE?! Smithy also stole Sonic's Tornado 1, but for the sake of the fight, he replaced Sonic's name with Mario's! Yay! Mario has a Tornado 1! Now, back on topic, this fight is HARD. Why? Smithy's pattern. He doesn't have one, thanks to Superadammario using "bounce off walls" code, which makes the fight unnecessarily harder! Mario also only shoots fireballs in the direction he's facing, too. Wow. This is the hardest part in the game. The final boss.

Now while I did sound negative in most of the parts, I actually has SOME fun with this game. Except for the parts I was being negative on, obviously.

Not very good, even if I kinda enjoyed it.

Graphics
2 / 10
GOD! GOD, THE GRAPHICS!! So much mishmashmashing. Oh look, the graphics are so bad that I spelled mishmashing wrong!

Let's see here...

-Super Mario World
-Paper Mario (Of course)
-Super Mario RPG
-Kirby Super Star (For Kirby)
-Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (For the plane)
-And lots more! Seriously! It has THAT MANY clashing graphics!

I kinda liked the screen effects, though...

I only gave it a 2 due to the time this was made.

Still bad, though.

Sound
4 / 10
MIDIs for music, which are overused MIDI choices. Yeah.

Sounds are normal Mario sounds.

Oh, and DJ Yoshiman's voice acting is AWFUL!! He sounds like he ate 9000 pounds of helium. Bad voice acting.

Not very good.

Replay
4 / 10
When I played it the first time, I wanted to complete it. I succeeded. Yay! +3 points.

Another extra +1 point for the laughs this game may induce in some people.

Final Words
3 / 10
"...I will say, it's a bad game. It's glitchy, there's some really terrible portions, terrible game design decisions, but overall, I still had a lot of fun with it. And I hope you guys were able to tell that..." -Skykoh

Ah, welcome back, bad word choices. It's been a long time.
