General Commentary and Game Overview
First of all, this is my first review (yay!) and what a great way to start... with Paper Mario World. To sum it all up, this game needs to be saved to a disc, which should then be thrown into a pit of lava so that there's no chance we'll see it again. But if I just said that then there'd be no review, would there? Lets go on...

Pros The buddy system (used for one level) is a good idea, but done very badly.

Cons Just about everything that you don't see in the pros 'list'.

Oh dear... OOOOOOHHHH DEAR! Man, I cannot go into how bad this is. Okay, first of all the platforming segments are nothing more than jump... jump... kill something... jump... GOAL! Next level! There's actually a level where you're underwater, and you basically have to kill some enemies, go right... kill s'more... right... keep going... and you do this for, if my memory is correct, four or five screens. There are top-down levels which use the 8-directional movement, and those are also very bland and awful looking. There are also levels where Kirby is with Mario (don't frikkin' ask...) and you can control them both. Only trouble is that no-one'll wanna pla this game with you. They're just as frightened of it as you are. And boss battles are either bouncing ball while firing at you, moving in a linear path while firing at you... that's it, rinse and repeat. The amount of laziness in this fangame is awful. And the buddy system where you use your friends to do certain things is only used once in one level, and it's very easy to work out what to do. If you enjoy this game for any other reason than for how bad it is, then I will shoot you on sight.

Where to begin... well, for a start, the Paper Mario sprite is actually surprisingly good, as I don't think anyone had actually ripped one before this game... I may be wrong, but who cares? It's a nice sprite... however, this doesn't save it from being mixed in with some of the most awful sprite selections in the world. Imagine every Mario game in the world. Then imagine what would happen if someone was to put all the sprites and pics into one (bad) game... you can get a pretty good idea of what I'm talking about. Bowser is actually a picture from Paper Mario who has no animation whatsoever. And at the last boss fight when in a plane (a badly edited Sonic tH plane I might add), the Mario sprite is from Super Mario World. The backgrounds are also particularly awful, with white and single coloured backgrounds throughout. The desert level has just plain yellow for the sand and bright blue for the background. And the Toad village has BRIGHT GREEN! EURGH! You WILL be blind by the end of it all. This gets a two just because of the Paper Mario sprite...

Sound
3 / 10
Nothing too bad. The music is alright, but it's nothing you haven't heard before. Same goes for the sound effects.

Replay
2 / 10
You'll wanna replay it over again just to see if you could believe your sense on how crappy this was. Then you'll put it in the recycle bin, or better yet use the disposal method I outlined in the general comments at the top.

Final Words
1 / 10
Please, make the pain stop... I actually think it would be a good idea to download it, just so that you can laugh at how awful it is and it teaches you how NOT to make a fangame of any kind.
