Wow, very nice! It looks like it came straight out of Super Mario RPG!

They look so cute! Nice job with them them! I also like your other Paper Mario sprites, keep up the good work!

I used GameMaker:Studio to make the game; the graphics are made with MSPaint (XP version), with GIMP for a few special cases.

Thanks for the review, EvilYoshiToes! Glad to see that you liked it! I went with a different art style, since I wanted to do something a little different and I felt that it would look too similar to The Flooded Tower if the same style was used, so I tried to give the game its own identity.

I had plans for more bosses, such as an "Antasma-fied" Mario, but I decided not to since I felt that I spent quite enough time just making two bosses and making more for the same game would probably be exhausting. Even if I did add more, however, I think they might not really contribute to the plot very much and would be more like filler content.

I never had tiki heads in mind when making the Flasmas, they were designed to look like machines, but I can see why you'd think it looks like a tiki head. It should be only firing more fireballs after Antasma used the fist attack for the first time. If it's firing more than two before Antasma has even used the fist attack, then I guess something in the code isn't right. Looking back, I agree with your complaints on how deadly the hands are while idle and the second fist attack. I'm not sure what could be done about the Bob-Balls, since I'm not really sure what makes them unpredictable. All they do is move forward, turn once they hit a wall, bounce as their bounces gradually get lower, and then eventually stop bouncing and go boom.

I do think having the Koopa bop up and down a bit while idle would be nice.

Wait Antasma is in this game and is the main antagonist? I think the guy who made this game read my comment on the comments section for that most recent Charisma installment. I said make Dimentio or Antasma the main villain and let the creative juices flow.

I'd say it's more of a coincidence. I decided to have Antasma as the main villain quite a long time ago, way before you made that comment. I was kinda amused when I read that part in your comment on Charisma 3.1 for Workgroups, though.

I had once tried this out in either late 2016 or early 2017 (I can't exactly remember), and I played up until the part where Mario was in jail. I later decided to play it again in late April 2017, and I managed to finish it. I had quite a blast with it! In fact, I think it might be part of my top 10 Mario fangames list. I love the creativity, charm, and secrets. I'm definitely planning on playing it again someday, considering that there's a secret chapter and alternate story. I'd love to see more fangames like this.

By the way, does anyone know what I'm supposed to do once I get to the room with two guys, tables, and a big red door on the dream where you play as Mario? I wasn't able to figure it out, and I managed to walk off the screen on the left side. After that, I can't do anything but fall and move left and right.

I gave this a try, and I can say that it was a very nice experience. Although I'm not sure whether it's intentional or not, I like how it feels like a fangame from the early 2010's.

I'm looking forward to seeing the final version of the game. :)

Thanks for the feedback, guys! I can see what you mean about the track end, MissingNumbers. I could go back and try to make it smaller when I have the time to do so.

It looks really good! It seems like it came right out of Sticker Star!

It looks really good! I love how the colors and shading look. The only negative thing I could think about is that the amount of blank space seems a bit more than it could be. Try moving the grass and cave tilesets to the above of the blocks, and maybe that will let you cut down some blank space. The reason why there should be as less blank space as possible is, I think, because it makes the file larger than it needs to be, which could affect the amount of time needed to download it.

Ooh, this looks very nice and useful! Good job, Qwerty Triple6! I can't really say anything negative about it.

The update makes the sheet look a better now! I can read what's around Kooper's and Parakarry's belly more easily (in the upper versions), Goombario's 3-color version now looks like it does have 3 colors, and Sushi's 3-color version looks better now (by the way, the reason I suggested red is because in the color wheel, it is a bit close to purple).

The color is tanish I directly took the palettes off my FCEUX emulator . Try looking closer.

But the tan color of the eyes and body appear to be a little bit brighter than the hat's tan color, which, if you add those two colors with the black and brown colors, equals four colors.

Anyway, the sprites seem nice. I liked how the colors are used, most of the time, that is. The gray color that is used on the 3 color version of Sushi makes his mouth look a bit weird (I would suggest using red, since it seems more nicer that way), and I kind of had a hard time seeing Kooper's and Parakarry's arms in the upper versions (the arms just seem to blend in with the belly). Those are the only problems I can notice.

The bonuses were nice additions, especially the paint stars. Those could be useful.

By the way, isn't "Neweegie" actually "Neweegee"? I just want to point that out.

I can't tell if this is intentional or not. xD

I told the author about that error, and he said it's intentional.

This looks a pretty nice tileset, StrikeForcer. I think it could be pretty useful. I really like the colors you picked for it. I think you should try to make the spot the light-source is on more clear, though. The grass and the shrub made the light-source look like it was all over, while the other parts of the tileset made the light-source look like it was somewhere around the top-left. It still looks good, though.

The rips seem nice, although I think it could have been more organized well. Some sprites (especially the shell) seem a bit all over the place.

These are some great sprites! The SMB3 palette makes these sprites seem like a nice alternative to the overused SMB3 Mario.

Those look very nice! When I took a look at the sheet for the first time, I thought I was looking at rips (which, I wouldn't really call it a bad thing).

Some of the icons seem a bit messy to me (the one that sticks out to me the most is the Paper Toad, its face just seems a bit odd), but it looks good overall. It think it could be a bit useful.
