One of the problems with making level editors is that people can just go into the saved map files and change what they want when the content of the files is easy to read.
This Game Maker Studio project shows you my method of saving a custom map's data in text files, organizing the data in a jumble of numbers, which makes it more difficult for people to tamper with.
