Impressions
Gameplay
9 / 10
First of all, this game has some smooth gameplay. For example you can choose to play as Mario or Luigi (with the SMB2 character select screen to boot). And your choice has his own special ability like Mario can wall jump or Luigi can super jump. Slope sliding is still a little bumpy but that is expected of an online fangame. And enemies are added as difficulty increases. Of course each world has 8 levels with two castles representing the 4th and 8th levels. However saving is done in level and you can't save on the section at the end of the second castle that transitions between worlds.

Graphics
9 / 10
They have a look as if they were made from the SMB1 Remake or Mario All-Stars with some enemies carrying from some other games. Mario and Luigi however have their colors switched in which their overalls are their standard color and their shirt is blue instead of the other way around.

Sound
8 / 10
Nothing much to say here. The sounds are basic Mario fare with maybe a few different themes.

Replay
9 / 10
With the two extra modes to go at (with one being unlocked by collecting a lot of coins), you have different ways to play though the levels are done in a linear style like they where back in the original Super Mario Bros.

Final Words
9 / 10
Overall a beatiful game to play through, despite some details that are off the Mario games.

In artwork for the original Super Mario Bros., Mario and Luigi's overalls and shirts did in fact have their colours swapped from the way they are now.

In fact that's how it is in Super Mario All-Stars' remake of Super Mario Bros. as well.

So that's an odd thing to complain about.

I'm sure if there weren't a sign that tells you, that you cant save on world transitions, you wouldn't even have noticed. It's nothing worth considering, in my opinion... Just start the next level and it's fine.

For the outfit concept I did have an issue with that sure it does fit with the concept you described but it felt different to me.

Luigi is a pro because he is my favorite character and like that you can play as him

Also on the save problem it is just an annoying little thing it didn't affect the review

Makes a little of sense all this review, but 9? it should be more kind of 7 or...Something.
