General Commentary and Game Overview
I haven't played Super Mario Fangame,
but this game is really good, but it's not the best. I don't like the midis, but it isn't bad altogether. The boss battles are ANNOYING and the Boss Saucer took me AGES to beat. Right now I can't pass Bowser.

But the gameplay is great. The wall jumping can be quite annoying sometimes but the rest is great. The gravity can be some confusing at some moments but that adds challenge. The graphics are good but I like original graphics more than customs. I will give the scores below, so keep reading.

Pros - Cool gravity engine
- Nice level design
- Nice music, altough they're midis
- Good graphics

Cons - Annoying boss battles
- The game is too hard
- It's clickteam which I don't like
- Things like the save screen are too simple

Impressions
Gameplay
7 / 10
The gameplay is annoying or confusing sometimes, but it's good. It could use some work, but some things like the gravity are really nice. A 7/10 for this.

Graphics
6 / 10
Not the best quality, but it fits the game. You could have used original sprites or make the customs some better quality, but it's not bad altogether. I give it a 6/10

Sound
6 / 10
I don't like midis, but those are actually good. I really hate the Doomship midi and the Retro Galaxy midi, these are just bad versions of midis that others made (or at least, they sound so to me). The sound effects are nice but sometimes they don't fit. A 6/10.

Replay
5 / 10
I play it often, but it gets boring when you can't beat a boss. I give this an average 5/10.

Final Words
7 / 10
A fun game, altough some things are annoying. If you can take the annoying bosses, then you should download this one.

IS there a difference between original graphics and customs at all? Or do you mean graphics from other games?

Otherwise, decent review. It fits my opinion somewhat more than the other one, too, though it's a bit small.

Have you even seen his other games? These are his best graphics yet!

What I've meant to say is that I'm (personally) more fan of graphics from nintendo games. I agree with you Arkatox, it's just because I'm more fan of nintendo graphics. But I didn't mean the graphics are bad or something.

I didn't bother to try Super Mario Fangame, altough I'll do maybe. This is a good game, kjellm!

Thanks for the review, it's pretty fair.
It seems making bosses is my biggest flaw,
I need to work on that.

I gotta ask though, why don't you like Clickteam?

The reason why I don't like Clickteam is, well... I find it inconvenient, and it's sort of unprofessional. Game Maker is better I think. And it's a trial that expires which I never like. But if you like it, it's OK of course.

I'm stuck at the Bowser chase where you'll fly after him, how do you beat that part? There just doesn't happen anything when I shoot on his ship.

MMF is just fine, it takes long learning everything but once you get pro you can do some impressive stuff. ( I don't consider me pro, something in between maybe)
If you hit Bowser's ship he should take damage, watch his health meter on the buttom of the screen.

I'm also thinking about an update, what do you think I should add or fix?

Change the bosses, and maybe make the game longer (more galaxies) and maybe a real storyline.

A Mario game with a deep story?, no way. It wouldn't be Mario anymore >:(

Hope ya like the changes on the bosses, specially nr 2.

Prepare for a pretty long amount of text.

Well, I played this thing through in about 1.5 hours (in the update). Short, or is it me who plays so fast? xD

Well, I HATED that **** General Bro.
(Sorry for that line)

Weird, in the previous game I killed him at my 3-4th try. Now he took me about 15 tries!
Why do those fireballs bounce back?

But, the Bowser battle has been Greatly improved! The music is so cool! And the background of the Bowser level is also improved. I just don't see Bowser's lair still has the same background.

And about the MIDIs, the Retro Galaxy is better, but it's piano-ish. The Doomship Galaxy is cool, however.

And to reply on your comment, kjellm, with a story I mean something like Super Mario 63 (if you know what I mean). My SM2009 game also has a story (I wonīt spoil it now), but not too deep I guess.

But the Bowser course theme is a bit loud, and I donīt like it also. Maybe you couldīve done some MP3īs or OGGīs in combination with MIDIs.

There's about no glitches. Thatīs awesome, my SM2009 game still has a lot of glitches that I must fix. And most games here have a glitch or two, so if I find a glitch in your game, I PM you (or post it here).

Well, now I stop writing, because itīs just a comment, not a review.
