General Commentary and Game Overview
After finally having written a review for The Purple Coin, then comes this updated edition with a new character/spoof: Batbro.

Like I said before, The Purple Coin is a fantastic beat 'em up with quite the frantic action, multiple stages (Now double the size of the original!), and several attacks to pull off.

The Bros are a bit more comedic this time around. Rather than just relying on their grunts when dying, they would also sometimes say a unique line when having collected the Purple Coin such as "I wonder how many burgers this is worth" (a la the sprite animation, Mario's Restaurant). You can also set on a feature (1 of around 5 which you must unlock) in which the Game Over logo falls right onto the winning Bro!

Pros -Fighting mechanics
-Control
-Concept
-Music choice
-BatBro
-New comedic elements
-More stages!
-Mario's Restaurant-esc voices
-Nice selection of different options or play style(s)
-Just plain fun!

Cons -With BatBro here, the game's title could be more than just "The Purple Coin"

Impressions
Gameplay
10 / 10
What I said before: You are a lone purple coin. And there are extremely greedy Bros willing to beat each other up to collect you. What do you do? TAKE OVER ONE OF THEIR MINDS AND BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF THEM!!! The fighting gameplay more than lives up to the concept! There are quite the moves you can use to pummel them, and it hardly gets boring!
What I say now: I'm happy to say the gameplay managed to improve a bit more thanks to the even-more-fluid control and the ability to play as BatBro! BatBro's gameplay mechanics definitely differ from that of the Purple Coin, but is no less fun! He can throw Batarangs, hang onto the ceiling, glide, etc. Even when playing as the Purple Coin, there's no getting enough of BatBro; he comes in as a special move and takes down any on-screen Bro! He may steal the show, but now there's even more to the game I can love to play.

Graphics
10 / 10
What I said before: While we have seen Super Mario World graphics done to death, The Purple Coin helps add a bit more to them by giving the Bros well-animated fighting moves. Oh, and it's pretty helpful how the eyes change color so you can actually tell which Bro you're controlling.

What I say now: There's now a purple glow around the Bro you're controlling, which definitely helps for those that couldn't see the eye color last edition. Plus, more stages help add more variety of environments into the mix, and they can be pure eye candy at times.

Sound
9 / 10
What I said before: The music is unlike what any other Mario fangame would have.

That said, the music choice is pretty awesome and fits well with each stage!

What I say now: Well, there's not much I could add here, other than there's more groovy tunes here, such as Sonic 3D Blast's pretty-darn-epic Volcano Valley theme in the lava stage.

Replay
10 / 10
What I said before & now: Play it once and you'll be addicted! Play it twice and you may not even get any tired of the game. I know I haven't!

Final Words
10 / 10
I honestly thought I've seen the best The Purple Coin could offer in its last version.

I'm very glad to be wrong.

Awesome point to you for getting that it was Mario's Restaurant that I had the Bros referencing with a couple of their lines.
