Bloop Rinse

Welcome to Bloop Rinse! In this game, you star as a Blooper, and your goal is to knock into as many Marios as possible. Sounds simple enough... if you think you are capable of defeating an ever-spawning army of Marios!

Move your Blooper with the LEFT, RIGHT and UP arrow keys, and use your charge attack with the DOWN arrow key! Remember that you can press F4 to switch screen modes, F1 to display the credits. Your bubbles from charge attacks will slow down the Marios but if you want to KO the Marios, you will have to touch them.

You have 90 seconds to take down as many as you can! The only two things you need to worry about are the Invincible Star Marios, which you should not run into until their power wears off, and incoming fireballs, courtesy of the occasional Fire Mario. Two hits and you are history! If you get hit before 45 seconds of your time runs out, you just might receive a Mushroom to hold you over until the end!

Have fun! See if you can beat 23 Marios, my own high score!

Franchise: Mario

That was quite fun. It is a little hard to get the Blooper to go downwards, especially since pressing left or right makes him go upwards a bit. I would like a little more freedom of rotation/direction. Of course, that's probably a part of the fun challenge of this game and is vital... I'm not sure.

I find that going gung-ho and not using the charge attack is effective, although perhaps just because I need to master using it. With that strategy, I took 27 lives away from Mario the first time playing this game. Ironically, I had trouble beating that until the fourth time, where I was able to get a score of 31 with yet another gung-ho, no-charging strategy.

There was a little annoyance in that fourth try, though, and the reason my Blooper had to suffer some pain. When he was adjacent to the wall of coral on the left, the Up arrow key would not move him an inch, likely due to his image_xscale increasing and changing the mask to go into the solid wall. Regardless, it was fairly minor, and the game is still oodles of fun and a waste of much of my time. =p

In conclusion, I think you should make more games with adorable Bloopers. ;3

Just curious, wasn't this originally named "Attack of the Bloopers", because I made SMB2011 Attack of the Bloopers.

Would you ever wanted to change the description? You should not do that kind of thing for the game.

It's star, not start. If it was a typo, I would have changed it by now. Hopefully that's the end of that discussion.

Thank you for the review Jaden1291! And thank you superbowser and RandomClam.

Well guys, Bloop Rinse has been updated. There's nothing in the text at the top indicating this, but the ZIP file is updated so I'll post the updates here:

-The issue where it froze after the title screen on some computers should be completely fixed.
-You can now enable/disable texture interpolation ("blurriness") with the F12 key. The game will also remember your preference.
-Fixed some minor collision errors that caused the Blooper to get stuck in walls.
-Online scores! (Optional.) They appear at: http://gmhighscores.com/highscores.php?gameid=2534

This should go without saying but you'll need to download the new version to see these features. Also, I've read a lot of suggestions but I don't really want to tamper with the gameplay of this one. I'll take all your suggestions into consideration for the sequel!
