General Commentary and Game Overview
An evil wind is rising. The evil Ganondorf has captured Princess Zel- wait a minute. This is a MARIO game. Ah well. Play the game and endulge in its oh-so-unoriginal story which you'd expect to find in the Wind Waker. But, who cares about the story? The gameplay is the reason you play games, people.

Pros Graphics look great, engine performs nice and fluid.

Cons Few Mario elements, fixed jump height. Mario has no moustache.

Gameplay
7 / 10
It uses custom movement, allowing for fluid control. My only complaint about the movement is that the jump height is fixed. As for the gameplay, you know what to expect. Stomp on enemies, kicking Koopas, and getting sucked up pipes... but sadly, the true Mario elements end there. However, that doesn't mean that LOTHW cannot be enjoyed. Definatly one of the better generic platformers with Mario slapped in. Sorry, Super Mario Epic.

Incredible. Not only is everything entirely handmade, but it actually looks good, not to mention professional. The animation is fluid like the rest of the game's elements, and the characters are bursting with emotion (look at those happy Goombas!). Fanguy, I envy you. ^_^;

Sound
6 / 10
Average yada yada yada... though the music is something different from most other Mario fangames, and that is good.

Replay

"Demo" is the key word here people.

Final Words
8 / 10
It has no hammer. ...YAY! A rather generic platformer with few Mario elements, but its fluid performance works out for a rather enjoyable experience.

Mario has no mustache because it's like LOZ, you know, Toon Link is a younger version of Link.
