User Icon		 Mario and friends were tired after starring in that big movie, so they decided to let Link and Not Quite Simon Belmont take center stage.

In other news, the United Kingdom celebrated its first coronation in 70 years. That's been quite a while... we didn't even have Mario games back in 1953! It's possible that a few other things have changed as well since the British monarch last changed.

April's been a pretty big month for Nintendo and it looks like May is going to be continuing that trend for the time being. Outside of Tears of the Kingdom releasing next month, the Advance Wars remake launched and the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 DLC releases today!

Of course, nothing beats good 'ol fangames, and with that I've got a new update for you today. Enjoy!

MFGG Mainsite Updates: The Movie: The Game

User Icon		 Once upon a time, before the land was ravished by a horrible plague, I was an MFGG administrator. But eventually my real job got a little too intense, and I realized it was time to step down from running this place. I never gave up my QC powers, though, and occasionally I'd still go through the queue. And here's an update in honor of a big moment in Mario history!

I've heard something about a new movie starring a certain plumber. I can't remember his name, but I see his picture on the upper-left corner of the screen! I haven't watched the new Mario movie yet, but I probably should. This is a pretty big thing - after all, Mario fans have been waiting three decades for a movie that truly does the franchise justice!

Don't count on Vinny updates being a regular occurrence, but today you get one... and more importantly, a fun and eclectic selection of games and sprites! MFGG still has a lot of games and hacks sitting in the queue, so we'll have a lot more stuff waiting for you in the coming weeks.

User Icon		 Attention all Mario Fan Games Galaxy community members,

We have some exciting news to share with you all! After careful consideration, we at MFGG have decided to shift our focus from accepting user-generated games to developing our own AI-generated games.

Over the past three months, our team has been hard at work creating an AI system that can generate unique Mario-themed games every week. We are thrilled to announce that starting today, we will be releasing one new game every week, each one generated by our AI system.

We understand that this may come as a surprise to some of our community members, but we believe that this change will allow us to deliver a more consistent and high-quality gaming experience to our fans. With AI-generated games, we can explore new and exciting gameplay mechanics, create unique levels and challenges, and offer a fresh take on the Mario universe.

While we will no longer be accepting user-generated games, we want to thank our community for all of the amazing games and contributions over the years. We hope that you will continue to support us as we embark on this new journey.

As a sneak peek of what's to come, we are excited to share a preview of next week's AI-generated game: "Mario's Adventure in the Time Warp!"

In this game, Mario finds himself traveling through different eras of the Mushroom Kingdom's history, from the ancient past to a futuristic world. Along the way, he'll encounter new enemies, face challenging obstacles, and discover hidden secrets.

Our AI system has created a unique and dynamic gameplay experience that will keep players on their toes as they journey through time with Mario. The game features stunning graphics, catchy music, and a fun and engaging storyline.

Mors gave me a virus for Christmas

User Icon		 Hello MFGGers, I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

All of us staff were busy with presents and celebrations, but that didn't stop us from hosting a Secret Santa event in the MFGG Discord last month. Unfortunately, aside from Mors and I, nobody joined it.
So Mors made me a virus. Yes, really. It was completely harmless and all it did was walk around the bottom of my computer, covering up anything it passed by. Clicking it made it fall over and delete itself. I couldn't have asked for a better gift, but since I don't know how to program viruses myself, I just gifted Mors a Steam game.

Additionally, we've added a brand new franchise category for Sonic the Hedgehog related submissions. This means that all your Sonic-themed creations can now be easily found and enjoyed by other fans of the blue blur.

Speaking of Sonic, the latest Sonic game, Sonic Frontiers, is nominated for the Game Awards Player's Choice award.
