Nice background! Definitely seems like one that'll work very well with your Phanto temple foreground. Also provides a nice bit of variety compared to the usual SMB 2 version of this BG.

It's always nice to have more options lol

I played the itch.io version and my gosh it's accurate! Also cool that you can switch between styles. Unique classic Luigi sprites is a big plus!

Oh hey, this looks pretty cool. Nice to see a mushroom tileset in the SMB 2 style!

Good luck! Maybe we could get a beach, or volcano theme soon!

Cool, but the beach theme would just have the waterfall background, and the volcano theme would be a recolor of that.

I thought about making fangames with them, but I don't have a lot of good ideas. But I hope people can use my sprites in their games!

Well, you have a map, a couple different themes...how about making a game like Super Mario Bros U? All you need is a beach theme, and a volcano theme, and you're set!

Ayo SAW reference?

Nah, I wasn't really referencing anything, but I can understand where you got that idea from.

Question, are the Mario sprites custom or edited from Mit? They look similar and if they are then I don't have to wait until you post Mario for matching sprites for SOMETHING(???)

And by something, I mean I may or may not make a fangame. Probably not anytime soon, though.

I had a lot of fun making this game, though. I'm glad you hosted that old fangame-themed jam; that was so much fun! I'd love to make another game, a much better one, with TGF, whether for another jam or not!

I HAVE been considering hosting another jam. It has somehow been like 3 years since the last one, after all.
[Hack] Super Mario Advance - Classic Mario and Luigi Posted by: B. Gangster at May 19 2022, 12:18 AM
I found an unfinished sprite of Mario picking a heavy object/enemy that shows a blue cap.

Anyways, This is a great concept for this Hack.

[Review] Review: Mystic Quest (APRIL FOOLS DEMO) Posted by: GuyFromOuterSpace at May 18 2022, 7:22 PM
this game was pretty rushed (even the first level) for april fools, but hey its good to know that my level designing is getting better in each game (despite not making a new game in a few years).
i will probably finish this game soon when I feel like it since it was suppose to be on itcho.io and not mfgg (I mentioned this on the forums), also I will not use the same waligie joke in a newer april fools game because I can see them getting annoying as bloody hell (ill probably make waligie as a cameo in one game in a background I don't know yet).

Thanks for the review and cheers mate!

Virustotal says 6 vendors found malware in this. Can you please fix whatever could be causing that if they are false positives?

idk how to fix that problem, but probably turn off the anti viris app to play it (since they highlight clickteam games as viruses).

Upon closer inspection, they are much different. Also, these are all really good sprites!

[Review] Review: Quillax's Experiment Posted by: Q-Nova at May 18 2022, 7:48 AM
Sweet! Thanks for the review! I got really excited when I saw this in the latest update!

Yeah, I think it could've been a lot better, while still having that classic fangame feel. At first it was only meant to be a simple experiment rather than a game; I was going to make something else for your game jam. However, it seemed like there was a possibility I may be unavailable for the next day or so, and with not much time left, I took my experiment and tried to turn it into a beatable game. Turns out that wasn't necessary, though, because I happened to still have Internet access those following days. Oh well.

I had a lot of fun making this game, though. I'm glad you hosted that old fangame-themed jam; that was so much fun! I'd love to make another game, a much better one, with TGF, whether for another jam or not!

And yes, I'd love a good new Commander Keen game! If only series creator Tom Hall could get the rights to make one... At least the Keen mods and fangames fill in that niche nicely for now.
