You VS Boo DX (Demo 1)
preview
By: Flipiberke
This is the demo version of my Deluxe Version of You VS Boo, one of my greatest creations and my first game that won a MGC entry.

The goal is to finish the level before Boo does. You can change Boo's speed in the "Level Settings" menu and also Mario's status when he starts. You can choose from: Small, Normal, Fire, Mega, Mini Mario each with some unique skills. Small and Mini can fit trough smaller places, Mega mario can smash himself trough levels and Normal and Fire are quite neutral.

At the end of the level, your score will be tallied up. You score extra points for the distance Boo still is from the pole, how heigh you jumped on the pole, the number of blocks you destroyed, number of powerups, startstatus, difficulty...

In the options menu, you can configure key settings, switch full/windowed mode, set the volume...

Controls:

Default keys are:

Left/Right Arrow: Move
Shift: Jump
Down: Groundpound in air
Control: Shoot

You can also perform a wall jump by pressing shift when you are near a wall and press the key in the direction of the wall.

This demo has only one mode, expect more modes and levels in the full game.

Have fun and good luck.
Completion: Demo Genre: Minigame
Franchise: Mario

Astrakitu This is one of Flipiberke's evidences that he's one of the best game makers on MFGG, next to Thunder Dragon, Firestyle, and Glukom. Definitely something to try if you have played You vs. Boo on SMB:DX, and of course the first original You vs. Boo fangame. Yeah, it is. 10 / 10
Toad Kart This is easily one of the best games I have ever played here at MFGG. Great graphics, gameplay, and sound that can't be beat. If only there were more levels.... 9 / 10
Mr. Yoshbert You VS Boo is a great example of a good minigame. I suggest that you play it and give it a try. This may be one of the best minigames of MFGG. 10 / 10
Giga Gamer This game goes right up there with Snowdodge and Xbox 360 Crusher as one of the best minigames on MFGG. 10 / 10
the real wart A fangame like no other. Racing a boo to the end in a SMB clasic world with cool moves and such. This is worth a try and won't be going in the recycle bin in a while. 9 / 10
Supah-Luigi Bottom Line: This game is definately worth a play or two, and you may become addicted to it. The gameplay is lacking in a couple areas, but the fun factor is quite high overall. 10/10 (not an average) 10 / 10
Red9378 The remake of Flipiberke's "You Vs. Boo" is still the same wacky game everyone knows with some fun changes! ;) This is a must-download MFGG mini-game!!! 9 / 10
Super boo This game in my opinion is one of the greatest Minigames here at MFGG. If you haven't played it already, I suggest you play it now! 9 / 10
Darkness360 overall I think this game gets a 10/10 for the use of sprites the sound quality, and the fun of just playing the game! 10 / 10
Elemental Great minigame, enjoyable and easy to manage for anyone. If you're looking for a smooth, and a minigame to pass the time, challenge Boo as Mario in this minigame. 10 / 10
Average Score 9.6 / 10

Awesome!

Only Problem is 2-2 is WAY too hard.
But the levels are straight from SMBDX so thats not your fault
Anyway, I love this game completely.

That game is VERY fun and VERY addicting! And there are no glitches whatsoever! Awesome job!!

Do you think that you could release an 8bit NSMB engine?

By far, the best minigame in all of mfgg. Elaborate, free ranged, downright fun and not too difficult so anyone can play!

Hooooo boy. You've got a ways to go before you can make a masterpeice! To make games, you usually need to know a programming language and write a custom game by typing in the functions, redirecting images to their actions, setting audio functions, etc. But if you're content to make fairly simple games, go to Google and look up "Gamemaker." To use this, no programming skills are needed, although it still is a bit complicated. Have perseverance!

Google is your friend for more than just that, BTW, Jak. And welcome to MFGG!

I have some suggestions if you need some ideas:
2P Mode (Mario VS Luigi)
Koopa shell powerups
Boo Mode (Race Mario, with all of Boo's abilities. Press space to change blocks)
Luigi Mode (Just a pallette swap)

This game is excellently designed and 99% flawless, but I don't like it. It's a great game, but it's just not fun for me. Huh. Well don't be sad in the face, that's my problem, not your game's.

Any help would be appreciated.

Use the Vista Fix in the Misc section. It will convert the games to be able to work with Vista or you could download a Windows emulator.

BTW Flipiberke you are a God at game making!
